  1. Chapter 12, Ambush!, is up! OK, it's a few hours early, but it is Tuesday here, so, here it is.
  2. :king: :king: :king: :king: Happy 21st, Silven!!! :king: :king: :king: :king:
  3. Ahhh! Ooops. I think I've made that same mistake (confusing the two) before, too.
  4. That's sure true! I've lately been receiving emails from people who aren't even registered at GA (they had heard about it at some other site, and I'm trying to find out where so I can thank whomever did that.). Much to my amazement, it seems the story is getting a little "buzz" even off-GA. Emoe, thanks for getting me back into writing, and for all that you do. I'm a very picky reader, but I had no problems at all with the first chapter of "Falls Creek Lessons". I loved it. However, the story was already largely compete when I found it, so I was able to just keep reading. BTW, I have a meeting tomorrow (Tuesday) morning, so Ch 12 is unlikely to be posted until the afternoon. THANKS!!!!!!! CJ
  5. The ranking system is automatic and post-based. I'm not sure what the actual number levels are, thoguh. As for me, I deny that I am in denial!
  6. I don't see how you can say that... I almost never post... I certainly second that! Myr has built something very special here, and I've made many new freinds here. Might I suggest "forum lurker"
  7. Sci/fi is one of my favorites too. In fact, there is a very good chance that the story I post after "For the Love" will be "Skyfire", which will be hard sci-fi. I think one mistake I made was starting "For the Love" off by making it appear to be a romance/coming out story, or a dark blackmail story. I know I lost readers due to that. I probably should have billed it as "action/adventure" from the start. The problem I had was that it has aspects of several genres in it, so I didn't want to limit it too much. But, it is my first try, so I was bound to make many errors.
  8. Hey! I'm nowhere near 3000! And in any case, never been done before? Take a look at Myr's post count! What we really need to pay attention to here, though, is Graeme: He set the all-time GA record for fastest to 1000 posts. Now that's one postaholic Echidna!
  9. I don't recall saying who the previous record holder was? Graeme, seriously, this is great. You add a lot to the forums (both in quality, and quantity!) and it is deeply appreciated. :2thumbs: :2thumbs: CJ
  10. Happy Birthday!!!!
  11. :king: :king: :king: :king: :king: 1000 posts!!! :king: :king: :king: :king: :king: Graeme has set a new GA record! He has reached 1000 posts in record time! Just 5 1/2 months after joining GA, he has made his 1000th post! 6.11 posts per day! Graeme, you are truly a poster extraordinaire! Congratulations in making it to the Millennium club in RECORD TIME!!!
  12. I have no idea what you could possibly be referring to... Why, the next thing you know, you will be accusing me of using cliffhangers... Less that 48 hours, in fact... I plan on posting it late morning on Tuesday, Arizona time (of course, work might de-rail that for a few hours, but I will try). And yes, I suppose, if I really must, I can post Ch 12 instead of re-posting ch 11. Thanks!!!
  13. Welcome Cookie!!!!!!! Welcome to the GA forums!
  14. What? Me, sneaky? Subliminal messaging? Would I do such a thing?

    Surprised...

Wow, sounds like Y'all had a great day! And Ch 13 was great, so you deserve the accolades (to anyone who hasn't read Living in Surreality, GO READ IT! It is superb!)
  16. Ahh, you and the Shadowy one are quite right, 12 is the next one. HOWEVER... Y'all are overlooking an ideal plan here! If I could just re-post the same chapter over and over, I can guarantee that there would be less wait between chapters...
  17. Thank you ieshwar! Cliffhangers? Would I do cliffhangers? I do try and update weekly. The next one is a chapter (11, I think) called "Ambush", and will be posted on Tuesday.
  18. I almost always cook with what I have at hand: I think I'll have to try Cajun more often! Thanks! It is also the active ingredient in self-defence pepper sprays. I love it, byt my suggestion is: use just a little at first if you are unfamiliar with it.
  19. ACK! I feel hunted! Y'all are so mean to this shy, quiet lurker Goat... BTW, is it time for a chapter title teaser yet? The title of the next chapter is very appropriate, given the above quotes... It is entitled "Ambush".
  20. ACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have friends at the IRS?!?!!?!?!? Good grief, and here I thought that being a Fundi preacher was evil.....
  21. 1000 posts! The Millenium Club's newest member is Drewbie! :king: :king: :king: :king: :king: Congratulations Drewbie!!!! :king: :king: :king: :king: :king:
  22. Just wanted to remind everyone that the due date is Feb 1st. Thanks! CJ
  23. Howdy, Goat!!! That was a little bit of deception on my part. I did it in Ch 7 to let people think they might have sex in that chapter. I used it in Ch 8 for similar reasons, even though they did. That disclaimer won't be back. The next sex scene does not have it. I love that disclaimer!!!! As for where it appears; I do accept large cash bribes in return for information... How true!! Isn't it amazing just how much we are finding out about Emoe? the little hint he dropped above, and the Fundi Pastor thing, what next?
  24. I'm personally not fond of numerous graphic sex scenes in stories, regardless of orientations If it is important to the plot, then great, but if it is just there for the sake of being there, then I'm not likely to read for long. However, if an author whose stories I like delves into areas that I don't like, at worst I'll skip over the parts I don't like. After all, a good author is worth being patient for. And of the author is very good, they often have very good reasons, not apparent until later, for doing what they did.
