Skin Games from the Dresden Files 🌠

Thanks for the comment and support! I usually used to write gay hp fanfiction, which I'm hoping to do more of on the side for fun. I took a lot of creative writing classes in the beginning of college, but I'm not good on the technical stuff. :')

The next morning, Ardant is in a much fouler mood than the day before. It hadn't taken him much time to hook his vessel back up to Natibo Port's utility system. He occupied himself by peeking around the curtains throughout the previous evening. Then, he retired early only to be left staring at the ceiling all night. At the crack of dawn he scoured the kitchen for coffee and went to his pilot seat. He's been there for the last few hours, staring vacantly through the cameras. 'This is obsessive

👏👏👏 I think I'd like to try this. It sounds like a fun challenge! I'm not going to say I'll do it for certain until I can finish at least one of them though, because I tend to think I can do everything and fall short oftentimes. 😌

Chapter 7 After the Famine, a Feast

I'm going to use this as my 'go to' story when I'm feeling down or in need of some good vibes then! TY for the response! -
Chapter 7 After the Famine, a Feast
daemok commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Chapter 7 After the Famine, a Feast
This is such a 'dream come true' story so far! It's almost too upbeat that it's starting to make me anxious, waiting for the other shoe to drop. Which, I'd be happy to pretend that the shoe doesn't exist at all. I think that's it's interesting to have two different inner thoughts adding a bit of turmoil to Patrick's mind. I wonder when his abilities may be brought up later on in discussion, and whether the Danish family may consider it tied to superstition. Patrick's skill in reading people; is that a symptom of pure empathy, maybe some slight telepathy, or possibly a higher level of reasoning? Micheal's health has a foreboding quality of potential pain and grief that builds with every pleasant chapter. It feels like the balance of a silent and boiling storm on the horizon, threatening to break and send everyone into spiraling horror. I can't help enjoying the chapter and faintly noticing this insistent cloud of darkness hanging over my head. It adds a layer of depth to the otherwise dreamy story. Thank you for writing and polishing this gem with every update! -
Everyone is hopeful to keep the peace, and those few doubtful only seem to fester hatred -but some positive exposure can help start to soothe tensions. Ardant is about to get a few more shocks to his system in the following chapters. :')
-
That warms my heart! I hope the plot is able to deliver some good twists and turns for everyone involved. :'D

Fun topic idea, and I'd love to read that remake!

Ducking inside the Hub, Ardant keeps his back to the sage green wall and shoulder by the exit. The room is packed with folks from the Natibo community, most of them older or younger, excluding their party and the Volder's. That's the aftermath of war -those in prime ages were sent out to fight and few returned, children being taken in by relatives and elders seeking support groups. Ardant actually knows Rhagler Volder, from the Corps. It had been a pleasant surprise to help his peer dock beside

TC2 - Chapter 2: Meet the Grandparents
daemok commented on Brayon's story chapter in TC2 - Chapter 2: Meet the Grandparents
Robert's self-induced stress in the beginning of the chapter works well to deepen his character insight. Very domestic start with the appearance of Duncan cooking for them in the kitchen. The advice about the toilet cleaning is spot on! And hilarious of course. It's sweet that Adam is an individual who enjoys lavishing his loved ones with gifts. I've seen some similar family parenting with the alcohol, so that wasn't a stretch for me. I'm wondering how the tension between Adam and his brother may unfold, then the situation with Robert's bruises of course. Keep up the writing! -
TC2 - Chapter 1: Meeting Each Other
daemok commented on Brayon's story chapter in TC2 - Chapter 1: Meeting Each Other
This is definitely a 'feel good' chapter, Adam is able to be a providing parent despite his slight hesitance in the beginning. The hiccup in the Foster agency is very believable, and a bit of a reminder that sometimes extensions of families cause lots of complications for dramatic reasons. It's adorable how they accidently dressed alike as well and have several things in common, like father and son indeed. Sounds like Adam has a mini-me. I'm glad you've Incorporated pictures so readers can get a better understanding of the layout! -
At first I thought he was going to come out and say 'Roran... I'm a vampire.' And I know that doesn't make any sense when I read the summary before I got to the end of this story, but it just sort of popped into my head. A god vampire! Anyways, I thought your idea was really interesting that certain foods and drinks respond to immortals differently. And it raises so many questions! Does the food coincide with the deities abilities? Does it give hints into their personalities? What does it mean that he is a tea drinker than a pork eater? Is there a reason you choose tea and pork for this particular character? And more importantly (in my opinion) are there more stories that go hand in hand with these theories that you've written anywhere? Sorry for all the questions, it was just an exciting moment. Thank you for writing!

daemok commented on Myr's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Ooooh, I see a lot of good sci-fi stories that I need to check out. I'm interested in the few afterlife ones and that awesome looking fantasy one as well. Ugh, I don't know where to start! At the top I suppose...- 7 comments

It's still hardcore spring break here in PCB Florida, and I want out. It's always crazy filled with tourists this time of year and this is only the prelude to summer break. The sunny beach used to be my friend, now I'd rather hide up north in the woods somewhere. Better yet, a cave.

I feel justified, from dealing with a similar situation. 😂

You've hit the nail on the head. Thank you for your insightful comment! The community meeting will certainly be somewhat enlightening, and may even raise more questions for characters and readers alike. Very soon we will meet some antagonists in the story plot.
-
That's a good question. Yes, Ardant has a first hand experience of fighting the Gahlamons, where most of his peers didn't survive the war. There will be more information tying into his reasoning as chapters come out, incline the impact and timing of the war.

Tossing a box of junk to the side, Ardant tries to get the pilot seat cleared. He throws himself into the swivel chair and kicks a stack of re-boot chips over, sending them skittering across the floor. "Bloody stars!" He exclaims in frustration, sweeping them aside with a boot and leaning forward to smash buttons. He needs this hunk of metal to start up now. They aren't safe any longer.
