Nope the clue is in his past...

I have only just now been informed that two Chinese naval ships have been tracking towards us from the Java Sea. I wish to recommend, that all but a skeleton crew of staff, be evacuated from the island, I suggest that you continue to come in, so the Sub can come in undetected, then leave again” I said to my cousin when he answered. “Holy hell, oops, I hope Annette didn’t hear that” Sebastian said and that made me chuckle a little, “Ok, I agree, I think it is important to keep everyone safe

I sat at the base of a euclyptus tree at sunset, on one of the far reaches of the station, settling in for a rare night alone. As my 28th birthday was fast approaching, I realised that I was so much like my father, working long hard days on the stations, with a huge responsibility on my shoulders since I was a young age, and I enjoyed every moment of it, and it’s been 9 years now since I have taken over running the family business. It didn’t seem that long ago that I was in Canada enjoying

“Is it really possible for them to do that?” Kyle asked me as we walked back inside, as he had guessed correctly like I had, and I heard chuckling coming from the loud speaker. “That is very sneaky Commander” I said as I sat down, “For the others in the room, your administrator went to the stairs to look down into the bay, where he guessed right, when he saw a giant grey shadow in the water, we are currently sitting in the bay, with about two metres of space between our hull and the bottom of th

The rest of the day was spent relaxing, and doing no work, as part of the tradition of Sunday being a day of rest. The following morning, a community meeting was called, and we all gathered in the village square, and Sebastian chaired the meeting. All the recommendations, were accepted, and so the Deepdale Shire Council was formed. Just minutes later a shower of rain arrived, and everyone dashed indoors, to wait for it to end. In the now Shire council building, Sebastian, Kyle and I sat do

The following morning, after having breakfast on the ship, since that is where Sebastian and the twins stayed last night, we all returned to the island, and prepared for a day out exploring. “Any more news on the incident that happened here a few weeks ago?” I asked casually, as I helped the guests to load up into the buggy, with Annette driving one, and Kyle driving the other, and the twins sitting in the buggy with Kyle and Mrs Cooper. Annette would be taking just herself and Captain Kingsley

The next day, Kyle and I took the bikes for a ride around the island, and even went down to the lowest point of the lake, where it overflows into the ocean, when there is rain, which we were not sure about just yet, but with the small amount of low shrubs, that was growing well on the rocks, we presumed that it must be fairly good regular rainfall on the island. After three days, I decided to give the spiral stairs a test, so after breakfast, I headed to the top of the stairs, and carefull

“You make sure you keep out of harms’ way, I don’t want to lose you” Kyle said with tears in his eyes, “Don’t worry mate, I will keep my head down” I replied with a little smile, and I headed to the small walking track that leads down to the beach, where the patrol boat was approaching. When I reached the beach, I looked up and saw Kyle sitting on the bike near the lighthouse, and he gave me a wave, which I returned before walking into the water, and climbing up the ladder into the patrol boat.

I didn’t mind that I was elected onto the steering committee but was a little annoyed that I had been elected the chairperson for this new committee, especially when I had never been on a committee before. I was a bit surprised at how high a number of votes I had received for the position, and so I went online to start researching how committees were supposed to be run in a proper and orderly manner. Over the next few hours I received calls from all the other members of the committee who

“Chopper to Captain Kingsley, over” I heard in the distance, and I began to walk back towards the captain, “Go ahead chopper” I heard the Captain reply, as he walked closer to me. “I am over the spot now, the object is about 600 metres due east of the ship, and moving slightly north slowly, my guess is that this is a naval submarine sir?” came the response, as we heard the sound of the patrol boat starting up. “Patrol to Administrator, I am ready to go and investigate, over” Chris said over the

“Well are you going to open it, so we can see” she said to me, breaking the daze I was in, ‘Err yes, sorry, let’s have a look” I said as I opened the tube and pulled out the documents, which were 600 mm high and 1800 mm wide, as I rolled them out onto the coffee table. There are two satellite photographs, one in colour, the other in black and white, and there was a very detailed topographical map included. Looking at the colour photo first, we all studied it. “Where is the lighthouse, I do

Hi folks Just letting you know, that I have some major computer troubles. I have sent it to my local computer repairers, but it could be at least a week before I get the computer back. Sorry for delays in posting new chapters on my stories. Regards Preston

At that moment, Annette stepped onto the ship, and she gave her son a big hug. “What are you doing here mum?” Kyle asked as she moved over to me and gave me a hug too. “I have been summoned to the ship” Annette replied, before Kyle introduced his mum to Jai and Judy, and we all made our way up to the Executive dining room on B Deck, and took a seat around the oval shaped dining room table. Just as we did, a beep came from the phone in the middle of the table, “Sir, we have your call from S

We ended up spending 6 days on the Cocos Keeling Islands, because it is such a beautiful place, and there was plenty of things to do, or lots of time to do absolutely nothing. I spent a lot of time swimming in the shallows of the ocean, to try and improve mobility in my arm and leg. Even the crew was able to take some time off during our stay on the islands, and which left them in good spirits, as we sailed due south, to our next secret destination. It was a fairly rough journey over the n

“Right, if you have the funds, which I believed you do, we can get a chartered plane to come from Rangpur, and land here, and if you can, would it be possible to bring my husband home on that plane? Judy said, as she handed the tablet over to me, for me to see. “Right, you call the plane charter company and organise a one passenger flight from Rangpur to here, and a 4-passenger flight from here to Dhaka, that’s if you and your husband want to have a short holiday till this is all over” I said to

For the next two weeks, we had an awesome time exploring the national parks, and it was an amazing experience to see Mt Everest, up close, and in a way, it was sad as we boarded a bus that would take us to the border into India, crossing over the Mechi River. From there we travelled north east, to check out the Jorpokhri Wildlife Sanctuary, then continuing south east to Fulbari, where we planned to get a connecting bus, to take us 42 km’s East to Jalpaiguri, on the banks of the Teesta River, in

Once the first event was over, the guests retired for the remainder of the afternoon to rest and prepare for the gala event, that being an Island Business Ball which would be starting at 8pm. I had managed to organise an 18-piece live jazz band to provide the music for the night, and they arrived on the island an hour after the lunch event had come to a close at 2pm. The band members were booked into a nearby hotel, and while they were settling into their accommodation I was coordinating final p
