Goal is the old fashioned English word for Jail. because this story is based on the mid 1850’s, it is appropriate to use wording that was used at those times.

As many have noticed Moggy has been offline for some time. she has been my editor for a while and got to know her a bit with our many emails. Because I knew what town she lived in, I was able to track down her phone number. Sadly a recorded message from her ex husband announces that she has passed away. Rest In Peace Dear Lady, you will be greatly missed. Info Update; Moggy passed away on Friday the 6th of April, aged 55.

Hi Jeff This is one of my earlier stories, that I thought I had lost for good, but thanks to one of my followers, he had save most of my stories that he read, and he was able to send them to me. The story has recently been re-edited, and although it is only 4 chapters long, it has a lot of information about life of convicts that were transported to the Swan Colony, now known at Perth. Emm brought me out of the doldrums as he announced that he had arrived in Brisbane safely, and that he had settled into his grandparent’s home, where he was organising plans for that night’s dinner before going to the school to collect the twins at the end of the school day. As I started to get my bearings I noticed a couple of windows high up in the wall, and from what I could see it was dark outside, with the faint sight of street lighting somewhere nearby, but I couldn’t hear any noise of people, just the distant sounds of traffic. After a lot of hard work by everyone, especially with the planting of all the trees, and the establishing of fruit orchards and vegetable patches around the island, we are now ready to accept our first guests onto the island. I closed and locked the door from the dining room to the pantry and crew stairwell, as well the door to the forward crew area, and the triple glazed siding doors out to the balcony deck, both in the dining room and the now hospital, meaning the Jacuzzi was now out of bounds.
