The Legend of Fred Krueger
Twisted_Dreemz replied to Twisted_Dreemz's topic in Stories Discussion Forum
Thank you very much for your response and feedback Jason Rimbaud. I'm a huge fan of A Nightmare On Elm Street too and, like you, Dream Warriors is also my favorite in the franchise. Thanks for checking out the first 5 chapters (which I hope hit the mark) and I'm sorry the age of the characters put you off. I went younger because I felt the mid to late teens troupe had already been played out by the franchise. The story was rated mature because of Chapter 7 and beyond. That's where the graphic violence and graphic acts start up, and Chapter 7 alone wouldn't let me get away with any rating except mature. It sucks to know that the changes to GA are affecting the readership of all authors, but it does let me know that it's affecting everyone and not just this particular story. Like I said before, even if I have an audience of 1, I'll play to it like it's 1,000. But I just wanted to make sure that I hadn't made a mistake by posting this story (due to it's nature), so I had to ask. Thank you once again for everything you said. It helped very much in helping me make my decision. I will be continuing this story. Thank you lawfulneutralmage for your comment and feedback. I totally understand where you are coming from. It's not a good time when a reader gets into a story, only to have it halt and never be completed. And to see that that's the situation with my past work, I can understand why you (or anyone else) wouldn't bother with this story. I do plan to continue and finish this story, and there are also plans to continue and finish two of my previous stories. I know...all words until it's finally seen. So I'll just leave that at that. Thank you once again for your words. They too have helped very much in making my decision. -

Good lord did I miss that November 15th release date! I do apologize for that. I haven't had the spare time I was hoping I'd have to work on this story, thus the missed date. But, there's also something else. I'm at a crossroads on this story and I'm wondering if I should even continue it. With the changes to GA, I've come to see that the majority of the readers of this story were non-members. Now that one must be a member to read Mature rated stories, the readership has dropped into the gutter. Personally, I'm one to play to an audience of 1 as if it were 1,000, because if at least 1 person feels the story then I've got an audience. But, I get the feeling that this story is missing the mark because it's not of the "traditional" type. And that's my fault. This story was an experiment to see if it could survive off the merits of being written by an author who's not entirely straight, rather than it being reflected in the story. But, from what I've seen, that won't do. I hate to put this to a vote, but I have to because I need to know. Should I continue The Legend of Fred Krueger or should I not? Votes for not will draw no malice. -

Indeed...how did that happen? And Glen is okay. He just didn't want to go back to school and face questions. Thanks as always for reading and for commenting. -

Apologies for the 2 weeks of radio silence. I just could not find time to show the story some love. I wasn't sure if the new chapter would be ready for Halloween 2025 or not, so I figured better to say nothing and surprise, rather than say something and disappoint because I couldn't meet the deadline. Chapter 10 has been posted to The Legend of Fred Krueger. Happy Halloween to all you boils and ghouls out there! -
“I knew you shouldn’t have gone to school today. I just knew it.” Grandie remarked, as herself and Nancy rode home in the car. “It was a dream, Grandie. It wouldn’t have mattered if I was in school or not.” Nancy replied. “And what were you dreaming about anyway? The teacher made it sound like you were hysterical.” For a moment, Nancy hesitated to answer. Did she tell the truth, and sound like she was a few cans short of a six-pack? Or, did she leave out the crazy part?

It might be a week late, but chapter 9 has been posted to The Legend of Fred Krueger. -
One week and a few days later, there were still more questions than there were answers regarding the Gray Case. The captain of the Springwood police force did not like that one bit, especially not after having specialized teams come in to confirm that by all intents and purposes, the story was what the story was. The results of the DNA and substance test that’d been performed on Tina were heavily anticipated to shine a bright light on things. But they had only served to confuse and disapp

Big apologies everyone for no update this weekend (10/4-10/5). I had an unexpectedly busy week and weekend and it didn't leave me any time to finalize the chapter and send it out. Rather than upset the schedule anymore than it's already been, I'll be posting Chapter 9 this upcoming Saturday (10/11/25). -

Chapter Eight: Enter Donald Thompson
Twisted_Dreemz posted new chapter in The Legend of Fred Krueger
Lieutenant Donald Thompson of the Springwood Police Department was just getting back into his patrol vehicle when, over the police radio, he heard two paramedic units announce their arrival at a residence. When he heard the address of the residence, his heart skipped two beats. The address was Lynn Gray’s. Instead of getting on the police radio to ask for more information, Donald reached for his personal phone to call Nancy. As he was pressing the button to dial her number, the screen shif -

Chapter Seven of The Legend of Fred Krueger has been added. Apologies for the day lateness. I am considering switch the post date to Saturday instead of Friday. -
The sound of something clattering against something else roused Tina from her sleep. Not sure what the sound was, or if she’d even heard it in the first place, she listened for it to happen again. After a short while of waiting, the sound didn’t present itself. Thinking nothing more of it, Tina allowed herself to doze back off. The clattering happened again. Tina’s eyes snapped back open. She was sure that she’d heard the sound this time. She looked over at Rod to make sure that he wasn’t

Happy Friday everyone! Chapter Six had been added to The Legend of Fred Krueger. -
Two weeks later, on Friday night, Glen, along with Nancy and Rod, were spending the night at Tina’s house for a first time ever event. A full night together in a house with no parents at all. At least no parents there physically. Tina’s mother, Lynn, would be keeping a remote eye on all of them. Initially Lynn, had felt very unsafe in her house without her husband there after their divorce. So as a result, she’d gone the full gamut with security. Cameras. Motion detectors. Sensors. Lights.

Chapter Five has been added to The Legend of Fred Krueger today (9/5/2025). Welcome to September and enjoy! -
Having to physically go to the very place that she’d just had a nightmare about didn’t help Nancy in forgetting the experience at all. An unshakable sense of paranoia hovered over her all throughout the church service as she hoped (and prayed), that none of the speakers, especially Pastor Kincaid, brought up the topic of sin. Nancy also found that more than once she had to stop herself from looking around at the other congregation members for any signs of smoke coming off their person.

The Legend of Fred Krueger has updated today (8/29/25) with Chapter Four. -
Sunday morning meant getting up and going to Springwood Baptist Church’s 11 o’clock service for Nancy, Tina, Rod, Glen, and their families. Springwood Baptist was unique due to having three different “versions” of the same church. There was “little church” which was for all of the kids 12 and under, “middle church” which was for 13 to 17 year olds, and “big church” which was for everyone 18 and over. Each “church” taught the same lessons of the day, but broke them down in an age app
