    Alarms

I have no idea where this poem came from; it popped into my head in sentence fragments and discontiguous scenes and then everything connected together all at once. Mature for depression/suicide theme.

    Alarms

Alarm goes off, I get out of bed. Go to school, work, go out of my head. Always waiting, counting the minutes, Then finally the day is finished. Back to bed, slip under the blankets, Suddenly eager, ready, anxious, One little pill, one sip of water, Back to the perfect world of slumber. Alarm goes off, I drag myself up, Prepare for the next push, the next snub. Go to school, go to work, home again, More mental bandages for the pain. Another pill and turn off the light

    Chapter 6

Summer Love Part 6 So there I was, sitting with a group of teenagers I didn't know (except David), most of whom were the kind of jocks who I'm more used to running from than hanging out with, rubbing sunscreen into my arms and wondering what I was supposed to do now. David had done a quick introduction when we got there (“Hey guys, this is John; that's Alex, Mark, and Greg.”) then had flopped into the sand between Jody and the one I thought was Alex and joined into their interrupted conversati

    Story

Seth sounds so cute! This story is fun and heartwarming and "jumpy" at just the right places

  6. In a world of humans and furries, with mutual distrust on both sides, a boy slowly learns to overcome prejudice and fear and come to terms with who he is.
  7. Bright morning sunlight filtered in through the curtained windows, drawing Ray out of the uncomfortable sleep he'd fallen into. Rolling onto his back, he opened his eyes slowly, then, at the sight of the unfamiliar ceiling and wall, closed them again with a groan. "Oh god, it wasn't just a dream." Despite how much he wanted to go back to sleep, however, certain other priorities intruded, and, with another barely-voiced groan, Ray pushed himself up out of bed. A glance at the other side of the

  10. Gary browsed through the sci-fi section, wishing the store had a larger selection. The two bookcases held a pretty short list of authors, mostly recent top-ten sellers. Then he noticed the bottom shelf down there with the used books, and crouched down to get a better look. He smiled at the thin, well-worn novels from decades ago - as he figured, this was as close to a goldmine as he was going to find out here in the middle of nowhere. Leaning over to scan the shadowed book titles more closely, h

    Hanging On

This song was in my head nearly complete when I woke up from a dream very similar to the song. I could see the scenes of the song, had most of the lyrics already written in my head, and the music was complete with high-energy fiddle, banjo, and guitar for a classic country-western sound.

    Chapter 1

We were standin' on top of the mountain, Takin' in the birdsong and the views. The panorama of beauty had me breathless as we walked hand-in-hand and talked into the afternoon. The he spotted a broken piece of chain link, curiousity took him to its side. He looked down the edge of the mountain below, and turned to me and asked, do you want to take a ride? So now I'm clingin' hard to the middle, And he's stretchin' out to the side, Seein' just how far he has to lean to
