It was very important (at least to me) that Corey figure this out on his own and not because someone prodded him. Having a friend to talk to is good, but some epiphany's you need to come to on your own; whether or not you can trust your partner is just one of them. lol sometimes it's hard to dump someone who doesn't want to be dumped. I think Alek might be having some trouble letting go. Liam does need to learn to lean on his friends a little. Chapter 2 Liam woke to the feeling of someone trying to beat their way out of his skull with an ice pick. Wincing, he reached up to soothe his sore head, but only one arm moved. lol I can't say I'm sorry that Unforgivable is taking up your reading time I'm thoroughly enjoying reading your reviews. I agree that Corey had no idea how deep his feelings were, and even now probably doesn't know. I liked the mutual therapy session as well. There were things that Corey's friends have left unsaid for years that Pierre finally got to say. It would have been cathartic for both of them.

It can be very hard for someone to come out to their family, especially if they're sure the reaction is going to be bad. Financial dependence on that family only makes the situation harder. I feel for Alek. It's a tough spot to be in. I don't know a lot about the culture of the NFL, MLS or MLB when it comes to gay athletes, but I did grow up with a hockey playing brother and cousins and know those dressing rooms have the potential to be cruel, especially in an amateur men's league where no governing body will mandate good behaviour. (Although that may be changing now) Thank you for another great review, Droughtquake

I can't believe I forgot to review this chapter. Sorry about that. I'm really happy how this story ended. It really was the best of both worlds. The heroine got her man, and the bad guy got his comeuppance. What's not to like:
