This was a wonderful story that I really needed right now. I think a lot of people can relate to Paul. No one wants to become the worst of the relationships they’ve seen. Everyone has doubts now and then, the key is to keep communication open. I think Paul has finally realized that, while Chris has realized how important it is to really listen to your partner. Good life lessons for everyone really. Great story, Gary! -
Alek is dealing with the consequences of hurting someone people care about. Bryce might be fun loving, but he is a fierce friend, and he feels like he needs to protect Liam. LOL I don’t think you were the only one who hoped Marty would turn out to be gay. I’m sorry you didn’t like the ending, but I guess not everyone was going to warm back up to Alek after he hurt Liam so much. Now as for Nathan and Bryce... wheels are turning. :). Thank you! I have been working on it, but life changes put writing on hold for a while. Bryce has been getting noisier and noisier though, so we’ll see what happens ;)

I could really feel the heat and then the cool of the forest. I love the forest shade. I remember taking shelter in the woods during the hottest summer months when I was a kid. Thank you for this Gary

I think Otis has more heart and decency than he lets on. He took a huge risk to her Boy out of that horrible situation and in the process, spent his own funds to free Missy, something unheard of in those times. He didn’t have to do any of that. He could have turned a blind eye, but he didn’t. A very well written, and intense story.

I admire your bravery for tackling such a delicate topic. You wrote this well and allowed us into their hearts in a short amount of time. The ending was sad, but they knew the consequences of their love. Even today few would understand, but they died without regret for following their hearts.

Damn, you made me cry. My heart breaks for these two men. They barely got a taste of what it meant to love freely before it was taken away. I wonder too what they will do now that they’re in each other’s orbits again. There is no choice they can make where someone won’t be hurt.

You did a fantastic job with the theme, Dodger. You had me reading with nervous anticipation from the start. The story could have so easily gone either direction. Very well done.
