    They needed to be convincing and they were. Glad you thought so, my friend. As far as switching to beef, Fletcher has to be smart. The market for milk is just not there. Farming areas tend to produce their own milk, so dairy folk have to rely on selling to cities, and location matters during that time. Once tankers cars are invented, milk can be shipped much longer distances. And yeah, Roland is one heck of a father, and a good man, willing to give Willy James a horse. Thanks for this...     The wheel is back on my tractor after another trip to town for the right part. Next up is changing the three blades. It's a bitch to do.

    I've known about this for months, and I'm still grieving. I genuinely liked him as a man and a human being. He was a friend, a confidante, a sharer, and a supporter, always helpful, and never ego driven that I ever saw. His writing was superb, his imagination unlimited, his creativity a marvel, and his stories were uniquely Geron... authentic, thrilling, well-researched, and satisfying. Every writer can learn something from him, and I certainly did. Upon learning of his passing from a mutual friend, I kept it close to my vest, not wanting to talk about it to anyone. Now, I am thankful we have this opportunity to say good bye to someone who meant so much to so many. He wasn't just incredibly talented... he was a good soul, and he is gone way too soon.
