House of Cards: Renewal
Headstall replied to Page Scrawler's topic in Headstall's Paddock's Headstall's Topics
It is so sad that there are people who would do that deliberately. -
Oh, you know I love alliteration. Thank you, my dear friend. These scenes, while necessary to the story, do make me a little insecure before I post them. Your four Ss make me happy. Love these two boys, and I hope I did them justice for their first time sharing the physical part of love. Cheers... Gary.

Chapter 1 Destruction--Self and Otherwise
Headstall commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 1 Destruction--Self and Otherwise
To be honest, Bill, I still don't understand people like this. I mean, I understand narcissism, but it doesn't make sense to hold onto someone with such desperation if all you really care about is yourself. I['ve concluded it is about losing in the end, and that is sad. Thanks for reading and supporting this, buddy. Much appreciated. Cheers! Gary -

Cold showers all around, Doc. Look at you with the out of the box speculation. Love it! Don't want to burst your bubble, but I think any plan the ranchers have came before the marriage. Besides, they won't stoop to Albert's level of bullying and threatening. There was some serious 'understanding' happening in this chapter, and it looks like it's full steam ahead. Maybe there a few matters to attend to, but cliffhanger? Mon dieu! I would never.... Thanks for the support, buddy. Cheers!

Over forty and rising here. Smoke alerts from wildfires too. Be safe, all. -
Love this, my friend! They are already in sync after years of unrequited love, and neither one takes what they've found for granted. This wasn't a hookup in the dark woods, this was love in the bright light of day, with nothing hidden, and no guilt. That works for me. Thank you, Cane.

Hello, my friend. Yes, while the goal is clear, they have stuff to do before the journey begins. I find an innocence in these two, but courage too. Indeed they are very clear about what they want, and I find that a beautiful thing. They are in an exploration phase, but the commitment is there and it is strong. I like to think that is what makes this lovemaking scene work. So pleased you found it beautiful.
-
That is so true, my friend, but I doubt this day is something they will ever forget. This was as much about commitment as it was about lust. They'll figure out over time what they like and what they don't, that is true of all of us, but love will be the constant. I like how Fletcher looks at it... I think he wants to see them as no different from any other married couple, and really, they are not. And yes, through the ages gay men have raised children that have been left behind for whatever reason. There is great purpose in that, and kids don't give a damn who you love. I have faith in these two, but you're right... it's early yet. Thanks, buddy.

Hey, Sherye! I'm stoked you found it so. I always feel so vulnerable writing these lovemaking scenes, but I really want to people to enjoy them and see them as an intrinsic part of the story. Cheers, my dear friend. You're the best!

Poor poor Rob. I doubt we have to worry about him for the moment. He needs to stay in Albert's good books, so he's hella busy. I believe it was only right the boys were at the river when they 'learned' some of life's greatest lessons. Yep, that's what he's saying. He's being as honest with Fletcher as Fletcher is with him. August has those same urges, and is done running away from anything other than his father, and even so, he's leaving with his head held high. Thanks, buddy. I always appreciate hearing your thoughts. Cheers. Gary

This is true, Neil, but where's the fun in that.

Thanks, neil! It's great to be posting again. We are already at chapter 7 with a long way still to go. I look forward to hearing from you again. Cheers! Gary

Hey, Patrick! Thank you! I'm stoked you found their first intimacy hot. I always worry about that. These guys are committed and ready to go find their new life together. They have just begun to understand the urges they've had and the love they share. It's all making sense, a realization many of us get our first time. I like how you say 'pure love'. I see it that way too. Will they grow old together? We can hope for it, but yeah, so many loving couples don't get to do that. Stay tuned, buddy. There's quite a journey ahead. Cheers!

What can I say. I'm a romantic all the way. Thanks, Les. I really appreciate the kind words and your support for this story. Things are looking good, but there's a long way to go yet. Cheers, my friend.

Thanks, Les. Glad you found it beautiful. Be careful of auto correct.

Chapter 6 Like a Thrown Lariat Over Horns
Headstall commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 6 Like a Thrown Lariat Over Horns
Hi, Sherye! Isn't Roland the best? He strikes me as someone who is not just a decent man, but someone who is fun to be around. I've always been that way with my kids, and they can feel comfortable telling me anything. Things are looking up for these two... and with any luck they will get even better. Thank you, my dear friend. Cheers! -
There surely ain't nothing wrong with lust, is there? It is best though, at least for me, when mixed with real love. I tried to show these men in awe of what they are learning on the fly, but also comfortable enough with each other to push their own limits. I would never say cowboys and farmers are innocent of life, but there is, in my mind, an innocence to this first love. This first foray into sharing God's incredible gift. Yep, kudos to Fletcher. Some of us take to it like a duck to water. I'm pleased you noticed the different direction. I've sort of inverted this story as I said to someone else in a previous comment section. I wanted to see if I could make it work with a changed, evolving emphasis. As far as Maureen, we'll learn more about her, but what we do know is Albert was fortunate to have found her, though her loss has left him hateful and bitter it would seem. As far as you r questions... Rob in the bunkhouse? Muh ha ha ha. Thank you, pretty lady. Always wait anxiously for your thoughts on each chapter, and you never disappoint. Cheers!
-
Thanks, Albert! I've tried to make this chapter as real as I could. it's been a hell of a way to start a relationship, but it would seem they have outmaneuvered the demons of their youth, and the roadblocks to their future. I believe we all knew August from the beginning, but yeah, Fletcher is revealing himself to us more and more. Happy to hear the dialogue resonated. Appreciate the support, my friend. Cheers!
-
Thanks, Chris! I always worry about these scenes and how they will go over, but it is an important part of their story, so I won't shy away from it. Yep, they're learning, and they don't have the internet to teach them. As always, I appreciate the support, buddy. Cheers!

Blessings “You happy as I be after knowing the whole story?” “Couldn’t be any happier, especially after talking the night long with my parents about what we couldn’t do. Weren’t feeling happy a’tall about that. You did good, Augie, better than I ever could have hoped against a man like Albert Cooley. Sorry to admit just saying his name strikes a fear in me, but there won’t be no cause for worrying about our safety now, not after what you done for us.” “Had some luck

Hey, Les! It is a possibility I could continue this. I did set it up so I could expand it in and around Bearpaw, but I don't have the right plan yet. I love how you keep rereading this one. It makes me happy. As long as I'm working on posting the new story, anything else will have to wait. There's still a lot of story to tell in "Roping the Moon". Cheers! G
