    This quote shows us how matter-of-fact Boone is in his acceptance of himself. And his love for Coy. He is stoic in his acceptance that there is no future with Coy as a romantic partner, but it doesn't mean it doesn't hurt. We do see how well they know each other in this chapter... Boone had no doubt Coy would do the right thing... and his brother is no longer there to influence him. Thanks, buddy... this was nice to wake up to. Cheers!
