Good night Thorn...happy dreams

Good afternoon everyone. I hope it’s a good one for all of you...

tim, the sun is shining brightly and if I had my way, it would seep into your bones and never leave. Having said that, if you need to take a pill and see a shrink to help you sort things out, then so be it. That’s just the way it is. It doesn’t make you any less wonderful or strong than you already are. In fact, it makes you stronger because you’re brave enough to admit you don’t have all the answers. you lots, my friend.

Glad we could brighten your day, Hunter. Edit: Speaking of not so nice birthday days, before I moved to the city, I got home to my train station to find my car tires frozen into a layer of icy snow. The only thing I had on hand to break them free was my windshield ice scraper. I broke said scraper chiselling my tires out of the snow’s frozen grip, which pissed me off because it was a really nice one I got from Canadian Tire. Needless to say, my planned birthday dinner at The Mandarin (Chinese Food) didn’t happen, because the weather was awful, so I was just happy to get home that night.

Snowmaggedon arrives here tomorrow, though, hopefully, not on the scale you’ve been experiencing BB. Today is clear, sunny, and not too cold. Wish that weather would continue. Time for coffee, so see you laterz DiCers...

Oh, and good afternoon everyone...

I had no idea either. It’s kinda I clicked on the pronounciator (okay, not a word, but it led me to this site when I googled it - https://www.pronunciator.com/ - it even has an app) before reading the pronunciation key, which let me know I pronounced the word incorrectly. pronounciator, pronunciation, pronounced: I’m sensing a bit of repetition here...

Night Thorn....

I had to think about that...

Same to you and sean, Mac.

I did that in high school. I can still remember the time I had seven kids - yes, seven - on top of me, so I basically couldn’t move and the student teacher just sat there - I was “rescued” by one of the regular teachers. Very recently, I saw a dad out with his young son (age about or three, I’d say) and he was using a tether to keep his kid close. I’ve read stories how people are outraged (you know, keeping a kid on a leash), but I think they’re marvellous. Some kids don’t want to hold hands, so this is a great option to give them some freedom, while the adult with them has peace of mind knowing the kid can’t take off.

Awesome! Congrats to Number Two and his drum mates!

You probably did, and I’ve forgotten that bit, but I’m thinking along the lines of things have gone wrong and the bumps in the road have gotten bigger with this chapter. They say bad things come in threes, so I was thinking we’d (making this about readers and not poor Max, bad me...) he’d lose the planned visit with Louis being gone. Now, I think maybe not, it’ll just be a little different - I mean Rena needs to meet Max, doesn’t she? I’m going to stick my pessimism in the drawer, and hope for not so bad times next week. Edit: Oh wait, you said we would need tissues...

That was beautiful, Thorn.

Poor Max, so much to get used to and deal with. It hasn’t happened yet, but I can’t see him taking it well when Louis and Don don’t show up the following weekend. I mean, Louis will be with his parents (if something happends to his dad, what will his mood be like?), so unless Robert or Rena can drive the van, Don won’t be visiting either. I hope Max - wrongly, of course - won’t see this as a rejection regardless of the explanation he is given for their absence. Getting back to the current chapter, you’ve done it again, tim. Funny bits, sad bits, relationship tension (just a blip) but, as always, through it all it is evident Don and Louis have an unbreakable bond. Kind of like bulletproof glass. Things may hit it, but they’ll bounce right off. Louis’ mini melt down from Max’s “rejection“ really shows how invested he is in that boy’s present and future. And well, also that he’s a good person who wouldn’t want to cause someone else pain. Nicely done, tim. Wishing it was next week already...

Good morning and have a good day fellow denizens of the DiC. I’ve got some reading to do, so I’ll see you all later...

Yeah, Monday was bad. We just made it to my uncle’s funeral before the snow started. It was blizzarding by the end of the service, so we - like a lot of others - didn’t go back to the funeral home after, which made me sad for my cousins.

I was wondering how this story was going to end. For me, it was a giggle and a smile. For you, well, you explained it pretty well. I think I like this guy...
