    Chapter 9- Reality

I don't always read the sex stuff in stories, but I did this time and know that Cove and Ash have no problems in bed. Also that after 13 years, they both remember the spots, buttons and turn ons from their past experience. It is interesting that Ash allows Cove to take control, and that Cove knows how to do that. You did sneak in some history at the end that explains why Ash felt he needed to apologize to Cove. Well written chapter.
  2. This was an inspired addition that had me laughing at how Ashley and Cove were going to rehabilitate the husk of a man called Ash. The trap was sprung, but Ash doesn't act like he's very panicked. I had to laugh that Ash thought the lock was to keep him from escaping. Locked bedroom doors keep little girls out, not big boys locked in.
  3. Sage's turn to push Ash a little in the right direction. Ashley is the perfect bait for the trap. After all, who wants to hurt a four year old's feelings whose puppy dog eyes are dangerous weapons. Cove is beginning to be the comfort zone from life for Ash. Misery loves company. Ash didn't go to Michael this time to vent, just for business concerns. The transition to the flashback was very good. 🤔 Maybe you could add the song, "The Way We Were" by Barbara Streisand to the background.
  4. Ash's resolve is beginning to dissolve. To be honest I think he really does want to be with Cove, but can't get past his denial. I think there is a trap set up by Cove and Ash's family with Ashley as the bait. Ash is probably aware of the trap, but uses the possibility of hurting Ashley as an excuse to fall into the trap.

    Chapter 1

I have to admit I was totally confused until I read the comments. I had to reread the whole thing again, and laughed a lot. I've never read anthropomorphism applied to an object like a cigarette. You piece was ingenious and fun.
  6. Morning texts before Ash leaves for work? And of course, it seems like another of Ash's family just happened to 'run into Cove' somewhere. Is there a pattern developing? I wonder. High paying jobs are a waste of good living if you don't enjoy them and have a life to live after a day of work. Ash needs to evaluate what he's doing and set better goals.
  7. Hey Spike! I've been waiting for you to take over. It's about time! Have fun tormenting Drew. I'm going to bed.
  8. What a great beginning to the chapter. I sweet picture drawn by an adorable cutie like Ashley sent Ash into a panic picturing his future as a father. LMAO! Michael is a good friend and confident. His last words, "others have 'dadhood' thrust upon them.” sound prophetic. In this case I think Ashley has already decided that Ash is ready for 'dadhood', and she's going to award it to him.
  9. Ash is going to be glad his sister is so sneaky. At least we know that Cove will have no problem with the in-laws in the future. If Cove is smart he'll set a trap and use Ash's family to chase Ash into the trap. I'd suggest he use Ashley as the bait. She is adorable and smart!
  10. That sound like the Drewth the way you two flirt! Dang! Clo beat me to him! I'm going to have to learn how to click faster. Is there a quick click class to teach me how?
  11. Hi Albert! Clo sweet butterfly, Grab Nickypooh and GET A ROOM! Love ya!
  12. It certainly met your goal in my case. Living in Thailand, a Buddhist country, Christmas decorations and music is everywhere in the malls and shops. For me that is more of a reminder of the commercial aspect of Christmas than the spirit of Christmas. Thanks again for this reminder of the true spirit of Christmas.
  13. Little Ashley is definitely a charmer and her father also. Ash has had a problem with commitment for a very long time. I wonder why. Does postpartum depression last that long? I know its real and even affects the father sometimes, but I have never heard of it lasting four years. Ash's questions may lead to some bad news.
  14. What! After 13 years Cove wants a second chance, Ash thinks it's his fault, and Dad's whim is to bring them together? With Siena's and little Ashley help, I'm feeling like and unbalanced top that's more twisted than the plot that just started. Great start that hooked me immediately!

    Prologue

Oh Sh_t! A bisexual ex, gay with a phobia for relationships and an eccentric author. Bring on the DRAMA. 🤪
  16. I love stories that make me feel the true meaning of Christmas. Thanks for the wonderful start to this holiday of love and giving to others unselfishly.

    Chapter 1

What an excellent setting that sets the mood of the story. It is captivating, portending a dark start to the story.
  18. This was a bit of a surprise. Ed is getting serious about Alex, and needs some advice from his sister. I wonder if he will be able to tell everything about Alex, or cover up the fact Alex is much younger. It was interesting to find out more about Ed's family history. I also wonder why we don't find out more about Wilhelm's stories. It seems like a long time has passed.
  19. You reminded me of my grandma! She crocheted a millefleur tablecloth that has been a treasured family heirloom. ❤️
  20. Too true! He'd probably never get the satisfied grin off his face.
  21. I think I'd have more fun spanking Drew's ass. He certainly deserves it!
  22. Just living up to your expectations! You made the list, so I'm trying to be worthy of the rank you established. 😛
  23. Wow! I got caught in one of those when I lived on Mt Hood. It took a week to get power, and a few days more to get out of my driveway. Hope things were not that bad for you and Steve!
  24. Whoops! You said torment, not torture. My bad.
  25. Good Evening Drewth! 😈 Are you ready for me to start? I thought we'd start by using something to try to remedy your problem with everyone teasing you about your height.
