I know Vincent is training very hard, but wonder if he realised how hard the training would be with Yakob. Yakob's training is definitely helpful, but Yakob is also learning much about Vincent and his power and ingenuity. The shadow chain was an interesting weapon invented by Vincent, but it took Yakob's wisdom to teach Vincent how to use it. The whole sparring match was very exciting, especially how little VinW was able to provide the massive amount of anger to surprisingly push Yakob back, then break to chain. I think VinW has a strong connection to VinH, and tapped into the raw animal rage VinH has to help Vincent. Yakob was amazed at the power storage bracelet. I personally think that the bracelet is absorbed by Vincent form when he changes into the wolf, and is the cause of the white ring of fur. The training left me feeling fatigued. Excellent description of the action and violence really had me involved. I am curious about the police report of Vincent's parents murder. Why does Mace believe Vincent needs to write up a statement about his parent's murder? Yakob's taking a tour of the monastery was nice so at least Vincent knows how to get to Yakob in a hurry. He also learned more about traveling in shadows as well.

Wow! That's an amazing story just in itself. Be sure to include that in your autobiography, or at least your profile on GA.

I bet he could ask Neil for some ideas how to use his shadow affinity to enter the water without a ripple. Even if the dive was a cannonball. 🤪

This is a quick start to the new book. I like how Vincent is almost demanding that the training start immediately. I feel sorry for Vinnsy. He's trying, but what can an excited young pup do to stay calm. There is so much going on around him. Lady Elaine and Lei had a couple of big surprises. I think Mace may be in the dog house for not immediately letting Mom know there was a new trainer in town. Cyrus was amused by how amazed Lei and Elaine were at his announcement that he and Kaplan were boyfriends. Now on to more of the story.

We are doing well. I had some stomach problems the beginning of the week, but all better now. We went to a great restaurant today called Okacha. It serves organic salads and meals. All vegetables and meats are certified chemical free. It was amazing food and very romantic setting. My salad, grilled pork with vegetables and fruits salad, could have served at least 5 people. It was huge.

As the first novel written by astone2292, Love in the Shadows is a powerful demonstration of raw talent. You will be impressed with the unique world astone2292 has built. His characters are so engaging that your emotions will always be in high gear trying to get to know them better and bond with them. My favourite characteristic however, is the great humour richly embedded throughout every chapter. Vincent is a young orphaned mage who wanders the world seeking revenge against Stephan, the shadow mage who murdered Vincent's parents. He lands in the town of Owensville and begins to settle in community. There he soon is stalked by an Alpha shifter, becomes the target of assassins, finds he destine mate and begins to learn how to control his powers. His adventures, intrigues, love and friends will enthral you, and keep you reading for hours on end. I know you will enjoy all the thrills and chills as well as the love in this tale.

I want to thank you for this delightful and magical story. There are so many great things about it. As a writer you impressed me with the unique world you have build. Also, your characters are so engaging that my emotions were always in high gear trying to get to know them better. The strongest characteristic of your writing and my favourite was the great humour richly embedded throughout every chapter. I expected the story to continue further, but fortunately you made good on your promise for Book 2, and I will not have to wait for some anticipated events to occur. I love this book! ❤️

Skydiving into the shadows! What a wonderful image. Can't believe this story is almost finished. Looking forward to book 2, then book 3. The violent fight was exhilarating and the cause of great anxiety. I was surprised what a great team Mason and Cyrus are together. I was also impressed how they were able to reach Vincent and Vinnsy and coach them to finally integrate with their raw instinct to end the fight. What was best was Vincent and Vinnsy experimenting with magic, then see the results end up in the battle. Wow, what a fantastic writing effort! So visual in description.

I love your comments. They usually make me laugh. I personally think if Dave gets too carried away teasing Cyrus, he may be in for a few hot feet and maybe zaps from anything he touches. Nothing painful, just shocking.

I couldn't say it better than @Philippe and @drpaladin did. Just want to compliment you on the experiment gone wrong. What a twisting ride the plot is taking. Probably just the first as Vincent and friends train and gear up for the fight with Stefan. Loving this story. ❤️

This chapter is full of delightful gems of humour. Vincent comparing running to doing a line of cocaine. Now go eat your deer. Just don't get antlers stuck in your teeth. Vincent's and Vinnsy' dialogue about eating raw deer meet. Vincent's reaction to eating raw deer meat. Vinnsy and Mace running deeper into the forest for beastly loving. Ty and Morrine rudely rushing past Lei and Lady Elaine to get into the bedroom. Cyrus' discussion with his panda. .....and Vinnsy running back and forth playing in the wind. Great fun! BTW Has anyone noticed that the two D's seem to be constant companions? What's up with those two?

I enjoyed finding out more about how Thad and Evan's relationship developed. Evan's apology was gladly accepted by Thad. The elder's decision to as Mithras for advice was important and showed their devotion to her. With the growth in populations, Mithras' direction was obviously important to maintain the balance of their world. I am concerned about the expected arrivals. @scrubber6620 has some interesting questions and I look forward to learning the answers. The most important involves what Mithras cannot see, the object that the newcomers seek. The way it is discuss it is an object rather than a resource of the planet. I am very curious what it might be. A very interesting twist in the plot that offers unknown challenges to the settlers! Great storyboard!
