  1. not fishing for compliments, but i think they are reel good jokes. not lion when i say they are a mane part of my sense of humor. the eggcellent ones crack me up. even the cheesier ones melt my heart, they don't grate on me.
  2. (knocking quietly) working my way out of the morass. it's good to see so many people here.
  3. Anxiety is like a long, dark tunnel. You can maybe, if you squint just right, see a dim light at the far end. But as you move towards it, it flickers and dims as you encounter a turn in the tunnel. You begin to doubt that there was a light. That what you saw was just a figment of your imagination. You do, eventually, reach some light. Only to find another tunnel. And it’s just as dark. And twisty. The tunnel is cold, damp, and dark. Very, very dark. Sometimes, you can see that light flicker. Sometimes, you can almost hear voices. They call to you, some faintly, some a bit clearer, it’s an almost comforting sound. There are louder voices too. What you hear from them is far from comforting, and they seem to suck what light and air are in the tunnel out. You might find a small light you can carry with you. If you’re lucky. Having this light can make the comforting voices clearer and the loud ones seem quieter. Now the tunnel doesn’t seem as dark, but finding your way out still involves dark spots that need getting through. Slowly, if you keep working at it, the tunnel becomes warmer, not as dark or as cold. There are still dark patches, but the comforting voices are also there. Your light seems brighter. As the light gets brighter, you start seeing things, people, that you couldn’t see in the dark. Slowly, you reach out to those things. Hoping they help keep you out of the dark patches as you come back to the light.
  4. this hits close right now much love
  5. no naps, sadly. but it was a good day. laundry ✔️ groceries ✔️ bed changed ✔️ Phil and the boys dust & vacuum the living room ✔️ flowers watered ✔️ two chickens roasted ✔️ (one for tonight, one for the deep freeze) this week has great potential. it could also go really poorly. our team motto is: "we're fighting like we're the third monkey on the ramp to Noah's arc, and brother it's starting to rain!" hope your week starts on a high note tomorrow.
  6. i don't like change. i don't like surprises. too much anxiety. i do better knowing. it is Friday though. and i'm so glad. Phil has His golf league tonight, (think bowling league, but in a swanky indoor golf facility). i'll get a drink and a snack He'll have a burger. He'll play 9 holes with His playing partner and they'll talk about golf clubs, balls, and technique. He loves it. glad the week is over. it was a grind and it'll be that way until the end of the month. i hope everyone has a good weekend.
