Chapter 21 Martin stared at the door that Casey had just closed in his face. He was still in shock at Casey's blunt response to his demand as to what was taking the boy so long. The kid had never been so brazen before. Where the hell was all this new-found confidence coming from? he pondered again. Glad you enjoyed the shower scene. I think I imagined Thomas and Martin getting plush towels (or basically really good towels) so that they would last longer and they wouldn't have to keep buying new ones... Martin is definitely getting more and more shocked by Casey's boldness... which isn't necessarily a good thing.

I probably need to be more detailed about the slide lock. I imagined Thomas putting it in when he was younger so that he could lock the door and hide should anyone like Harris come for him. I also imagine another hidey hole in his closet, but writing about all that seemed like too much extraneous info. Though I may have to go back and add a little bit of explanation for that now that you mention it...

Chapter 20 Casey deliberately kept from being near his uncle. He was sure the man would hear his heart beat right out of his chest, he was so panicked. But then Uncle Martin seemed to be unaware that anything was up, so he slowly began to relax. He had no idea, though, how he was going to get Shawn out of the house. Maybe after Martin went to bed?
