  1. Not at the one I go to but there are double tanks available... I don’t think it would be sensory deprivation with two
  2. Actually you could use it lid open. The rooms have motion detectors for the lights so you could get in, leave the lid open and just float like that. The big difference would be the sound. It wouldn’t be as quiet. two tips for young players, do not get the salt in your eyes (there is a spray bottle of fresh water to help) and make sure you rinse your ears otherwise you end up with salt crystals in your ear canal - they make crinkly noises
  3. That’s because you were eating it and not them
  4. I had freshly caught Mahi-mahi when I visited my sister on that tiny rock in the middle of the ocean. It’s a good fish
  5. Yep just like that. The lid doesn’t lock or click shut or anything like that and the tanks are actually quite big. The super concentrated salts make you very floaty and it’s not very deep, just enough so you don’t hit the bottom with your bottom.
  6. You are all nude? Hmmmmm not really warm enough for me but if that’s what you do I bet it improves tourism
  7. Not me in a vat of soda and ice cream. Way too sticky
  8. In a super concentrated salt solution in pod out of science fiction. You float in darkness and silence, just you and your heartbeat. It is very relaxing
  9. I had a float this evening and am ready for bed. I’m feeling quite relaxed
  10. Happy dance for Gary
  11. Sounds like Triffid mint
  12. That’s good news for your Mum If she wouldn’t mind posting some to Albert it would be even better
  13. OMG I forgot the crazy aunt, yes we were promised a crazy aunt At this point I am imagining a rather forthright woman who is not afraid to speak her mind or give you a piece of it
  14. It is hard to beat fresh picked fruit and veg
  15. Warm is all relative, a friend was boosting about the English summer, it was a balmy 20C and sunny, I was complaining about the chilly morning and how it was only going to be 20C.
  16. Hi there gents. Bluefish cold here and I’m not looking forward to getting out of bed tomorrow. Rain? Wind? Cold temps? bah humbug... yeah yeah I will be singing a different tune in summer but right now I would love a warm day
  17. I am liking the contrast between the two brother’s relationships and speculating where they will all be in Mark's book set 20 years in the future. I don’t see Will and Colin being particularly connected but John and JJ will still be working through each other’s weirdness (and loving it).
  18. Mmmmmmm nice warm cocoa
  19. That’s what I said
  20. That would work too I agree with your comments about the “everyday”, there is beauty there and it is good to be reminded of that
  21. On a restaurant or Cooking School wall
  22. Good night everyone. It’s time for me to snuggle with my pillow
