Wet and miserable start to the day but I had brunch with an old friend so that made up for the weather. We caught up on all the gossip and she reminded me that we said we were going to better at catching up. Her daughter reminded her that was our New Years resolution

It is interesting just how used I am to the sound of rain on the roof, it is the silence that seems more noisy

Today was cold and wet. My sisters dog is very happy she put the fire on to dry her washing. Tonight is waves of cold fronts coming through. It’s been awhile since we have had heavy rain and my roof makes it sound so loud. As the cold front moves through it is deafening and then it’s almost silent. Very weird.
