I had a chat with Dad today about him coming out of hospital and how the world has changed. It sounded really weird saying it all out loud. He is of a vintage that needs to be isolated and explaining that friends from high school were dropping food parcels/shopping at their parents door and then phoning to say they had made a delivery. No physical closeness at all. And this is happening all around the world.
Given that he is still unstable on his feet it is likely he will have to stay in a facility for the short term at least. All these rules have completely changed the world
“I am not quite sure it is at an end,” my mother noted. “She is not a woman to be trusted, but at least temporarily, we are free from her wrath.”
Strangely, I can imagine Sabrina saying the same thing to her family
You don’t have to be hitting a delete key... if you have a section highlighted and then type, whoosh, it’s gone and replaced by the new typing. Easy to do if you aren’t looking at the screen while typing.
Maintaining the routine can be important
Look after yourself and let yourself have time to process what’s happened. And once you have finished Albert's kitchen, don’t forget to add mine to the list
Weird days are ok, I suspect that we are all having those. I went shopping and spent a bit too much
And it’s not true, I am not stockpiling peanut paste, seriously... I always have Vegemite and peanut paste in the house and I am running low on Vegemite, so what have I bought the last two times shopping???
