I gave plenty of references to that (look at "proposal" thread in Q & A)
I've married for over two and half years. I did it at the city courthouse a few months after Canada legalized gay marriage nationalwide. ^^
I was 20. He was 19.
Kids? Forget that crap. I'll worry about it when I am 30. Just because I married at 20 doesn't mean I gave up my youth and settled down.
darkfoxprime: Congrats!!! Many years for you two!
I love chicken though. :s
But I don't eat much meat anyway. They're expensive to me, so I buy not much per month.
I don't think vegetarianism would be good for me. I'm already at 135 lbs and my diet barely is keeping my weight stable (as it has been for the last few years now).
I suppose I could be one and the transition won't be too hard. But right now it's not the time...I'm at my parents' for the summer and mum cooks meat sometimes. When I am away, that's when I hardly eat meat.
And in my case, plus the security I could be in marriage (hospital rights, inhertance rights, etc.), it'll make immigration to Canada much simpler because now I could have a Canadian citizen sponsoring me without the government taking his income into consideration. All I have to do is prove that my relationship is real and pay the $1250 worth of fees. I still haven't officially immigrated because of that cost.
I feel lame, but I actually forgot what I said to him.
We were on a two-day trip to Pennsylvania. I know we were on the boardwalk crossing the swamping side of the lake and we reached to the bridge over a creek going into the swamp from the lake.
It was a dark, clear, starry, summer night. Crickets and birds were chirping.
Then I said something about being under the starry sky and babbahbah. I forgot what I told him.
Good thing I wrote down what I told him and kept it in a wooden box under lock and key. But it's at my hubby's house for storage over the summer.
I guess you can say we kinda eloped too. We married asap after I proposed it back in August 2005. The marriage was kinda a secret.
Erm, it's just sex.
Not making love.
Two different things. I don't have problem with people wanting to get off with others. Their dick/c**t, not my business.
Of course, unless if you're in a monogamous relationship...then it'll get my attention.
Well, yes it's possible. Men just don't develop their milk glands like women do. With hormones, of course...I guess men can feed kids.
But it's still true I am not capable of producing milk at this point.
I have no problem with breastfeeding. But personally, I think it's tastless to open your shirt and take out your whole breast for everyone to see and feed your one year old kid. That's what a lady did in the metro a year ago and it was gross to see her slagging boob in the air. Normally women would cover that up with a blanket.
What kind of beer you should try?
Easy... Alexander Keith Red
Omg.... I love it. I had two pints of it at the pub.
But beer are so damn expensive...I paid $13 just for two.
Unless I get horse piss drinks like Molson or Lablatt...$4 a piece but it's not worth giving up quality to save money.
La Belle Gueule Rousse is my next favorite.
So yeah I love Canadian beer.
I still find it weird I am not sprouting out chest hair because my dad...my grandfathers...have them.
Not that I am complaining. But if I start sprouting out some. Hello to laser hair-removal.
Unlike scoopny: My chest is naturally hairless...not shaven.
*sighs*
Ok, I should've been more clear. When I said Asians, I meant specifically those of mongoloid race (the Chinese, the Vietnamese, the Japanese, the Koreans, the Mongols, etc.) They tend not to have chest hair.
Of course the Indians, the Pakis, etc. are Asians, but they're not of Mongoloid race. I hope you get what I meant.
My boyfriend is 95% Vietnamese with a hint of Indian, French, and Swedish blood...so.
Well...obviously I have hair on my head, under the arms, and definitely at you-know-where.
Then fine hair on my arms (not thick or dark). My leg hair is the opposite but it's not ridiculously hairy like a bear.
My chest is still hairless and I am 23! And no I don't shave any of them at all except for my facial hair.
I like hairless chest. It gets me going a lot.
Hairy chest is a turn off. Fortunely my boyfriend is Asian, so he'll never get any hair on his chest. Shit...he's hairless all over the place except at you-know-where.
I think almost all people would agree with me on this one at least... Back hair is just f**king gross.
I don't mind meat. Actually, yesterday when I was getting some milk, I was lucky enough to find almost a pound of unskinned/boned chicken thighs for $1.50. I don't see that kind of sale often, so I bought them immediately and had a wonderful two chicken thighs in ranch (yes I use salad dressing to make the sauce lol) with BBQ-flavoured power. Yum.
Oh of course I took the skin and fat off. I hate eating those...they're gross.
Just two more thighs to go...but I'll save it for the weekend. It was the first time in months I had some home-cooked chicken.
But veggies... If you don't like meat, all you have to tell me and I won't cook any. I'll just make pasta and I don't mind.
Obviously by American standards, the food prices are expensive in Canada. I pay $3 for just a half of gallon of milk.
I can't wait to go back to PA for the summer so I won't starve myself too often with limited choices of food.
Cranberry sour is even better.
It dulls out the vodka flavour.
Sometimes I just don't want to be tasting it or I'll get drunk too fast...especially during a wedding banquet.
Which have good and bad benefits.
Good: US exports are cheaper and foreigners (Europeans and Canadians mostly) tour the USA more often. The economy benefits from that.
Bad: US imports are more expensive, which is bad for foreign countries. It's more expensive to go to Europe, but I think most Americans won't care because they rarely go beyond Canada and Mexico. Bad for Europe.
When the dollar is strong, just reverse the goods to bads and bads to goods.
Currencies always have their ups and downs over the course of time. ^^
Btw, the pound is still 20% more valuable than the euro. That's still considerable. lol
Anyway...moving on...
Dalmatia: Try checking out the libraries. Internet is free there...at least in Canada and the USA. Not sure if it's the same in France.
I have to note that I don't disapprove of this though. I would still consider him as a father of the child of course.
It's just I cannot see him as a pregnant man. Biologically speaking, of course, without any disrespect to the transgendered people. That's all.
Let me know when a biological male get pregnant with an ingrown uterus. Then I'll be amazed, but I won't disapprove of that either.
Current "traditionalist" view of family today is so outdated to me. And it's likely the "redefined" view of family will be outdated once again fifty years later, and will I follow it? No idea...best not to say never or will, but I refuse to be an old man with "outdated" views and always complaining that the old days are much better.
