    Shoot...Chapter 2 is all done and its good (according to Valkyrie). I missed out on a good spanking! Drat! Foiled again. No ploy...I was really concerned. A lot of web sites use the rating system to tier content so that the lower rated things sink while the higher rated things bubble up. I didn't want my little story to get pushed to the bottom immediately and then no one would have a chance to hate it or love it coz they'd never have been able to read it. I do like bitching though.

    Thank you Timothy! I'll check out satw.com. Yes...the characters are crystalizing just like a snowflake!
  4. Excellent. Thank you everybody. I can relax about the stars thing then. If it isn't integral to how we operate here (like it does for Yelp or YouTube) then I feel more comfortable posting here. You all make very good points and are providing fine encouragement. Thank you so much! and
  5. I'm new so I am still getting used to the reading/writing culture here on GA. I appreciate that it is fairly competative just by the very nature of there being many talented artists here posting their works. So: If, on your first effort, you get a fairly low rating, two stars for instance, will this mean that your work will be pushed underground at the start? How many chapters in should one go before they pull the plug or should one persevere here with their work and complete it regardless of audience attention? Mind you, I'm not whining so please don't beat on me for that, I'm just asking a question as a first timer trying to get a feel for things. Many thanks!

    ~~~~~~ Brian I'm two hours out from Tahoe on I80, going to Auburn Ski Camp to unwind from Med School back at UC Frisco. I like cross-country skiing...and I like cross-country ski instructors. Auburn Ski Camp Training Center is one of the 'it' places to train in cross-country. I want to train with a trainer. I very much want to 'train' with a trainer. Ostensibly, I'm trying to perfect my skate skiing form. I'd like to perfect it so that maybe I can compete in the sport. Bu
    Home Sweet Home
    Beautiful, touching story
  9. Ah...all of mine have gone over the Rainbow Bridge. Its too hard to let them go so I've not summoned any more. They were all cats, of course. All cats seem to connect with me in a special way...even big ones. My perfect pet would be a Tiger.
    Chapter 40
    Love is touch. Touch is love. Love is wanting to be loved. I don't know why this one brought back that old John Lennon song, but it was going through my head as Brandon and Billy were kissing. In my mind I could hear Brandon screaming as loud as Billy: "My Dream Come True! Are you really with me now? Are you really kissing me with those lips? Feeling me with those hands? Desiring me with your hardness? Reaching in again...and caressing my very soul? In my room...maybe? Oh my gawd I want you Billy Chase! I've always wanted you...always! But...Dad can't know. Not yet...But ~whimper~ ohhhh Billy!"
    Time The Illusion
    Time is an illusion that we cast by the frailty of our organic machine-bodies. But the mind and the soul are not finite. They persist. Time is an illusion we cast for ourselves in a world of clocks and watches to meter out the days of our lives. But the foundations of creation do not speak to time. The universe lives and breaths in a never ending cycle of creation, reformation, and recreation. The universe speaks of change, not death. What was once one thing gives way to the same thing in another form. Therefore, our finite thinking is an illusion, just as the real persistence of memory still exists under this perceived degeneration of it in dali's picture. We are immortal entities...let us try to think and act like them rather than as scared animals living for their own deaths.
  13. This song makes me do that side-slide head bop thing.
  14. Its ALL about publicity, my friend! Well...as soon as my Beta has cleared it I hope to put it up this week. But...I must digress or a Mod will surely beat me up.
  15. Welcome again, Adrian. Indeed, Ricky is correct. Writing in a vacuum is no fun at all. Once it out of Beta and posted, I hope you will enjoy my inaugural story! It will be the first I will have posted here. < This is MrM shamelessly flogging his stuff!
  16. Well certainly that would send the day back to the kind of idea that I think was behind it (over a Catholic Saint's Day). A special day of MUTUAL appreciation of a couple's love for one another. The MUTUAL giving of gifts. The MUTUAL enjoyment of a nice dinner and perhaps a nice dessert afterwards at a special shoppe. He can pay for dinner and she can pay for dessert (I won't bother with He and He as I think this happens a bit more with Gay couples, though I'm not entirely sure). And...finally....a MUTUAL exchange of sexual pleasure, maybe time set aside to get the kids to a baby sitter and have night of passionate sex without distractions. Otherwise I think that Advertisers cheapen the idea of the holiday and turn it into some kind of prostitution transaction. He buys here a ring and she gives him a sexual favor without much enthusiams. It just seems sad...
  17. Ok....so.... I am embracing my Sissy Boy status and opening up a topic to share our..... Favorite Sappy Valentine's Day Love Songs! So...embrace your inner Sissy with me and lets share the forbidden fruit that is the Sappy! I'll start us off: This song kills me on so many levels...but its also, perhaps the sappiest and *best* Wedding Day song there is. Its from the movie "Ai" a heartbreaking retelling of Pinocchio adapted from Brian Aldiss's short story Super-Toys Last All Summer Long.
  18. Tiz true...and San Diego is having not just one Mardi Gras parade, but two!! One in my community in Hillcrest. Its usually like Pride Day, Second Act around here. So its like we'll have the big downtown one for the Straights and then the fun Gay one up here! So yes, like you say Aditus, its def going to be the Gay Valentines around here too. I don't think that any loft in the whole area is going to be safe!
  19. On my Facebook page I have asked a similar question. Most of my FB Friends are straight and all I can say is....Wow! Valentine's Day really generates a lot of enmity between the two sexes...especially when women are asked what the man gets out of it. When I was a child Valentine's was supposed to be a day of exchange. 'Will you be my valentine'. Later it became giving your girlfriend some flowers with a card and she gives her boyfriend a teddy with a heart and a card or something. Now it just seems one sided. What do men get out of it with their female mates? Is it possible that we as Gays have, possibly, a healthier attitude toward this 'Hallmark Holiday' than straights do now?
  20. Question: I've not done this sort of thing in the Gay Community before myself, but is Valentine's Day something we (Gay Guys) celebrate in any way? There doesn't seem to be much excitement about it in my community. We seem to be more excited about Mardi Gras.
    Chapter 39
    "But...if nothing else, I wanted to finally let you know that I had been stalking you for a lot longer than you might be aware of." Oh Billy...if only you knew.
  22. So I meet Brandon at Heaven and pull him. Then we go home and shag our brains out? Yeah...I got it now!
  23. You are correct, Drak! Looked it up on Urban Dictionary. That is the first entry.
