He is indeed! It's a theme that I find fun to explore 😁 Thank you for reviewing!!!

Kade Hawkins sat at the front counter of his father’s shoe shop, mindlessly polishing away at a pair of supple leather boots. They were part of a new line, intended to go to some high ranking Nabian that could afford such quality. Kade thought that it was unlikely that anyone would purchase at the list price, but his parents insisted that they display their best merchandise and keep it in pristine condition in the hopes that someone would. It wasn’t often that the upper class visited, but Kade s

Thanks much, I'm glad that you think so! Eamon and Luca have been a long time coming. As for Kade, there's still plenty to that story. We will see! Thank you for always leaving reviews!

Ysabel wafted herself lazily with an embroidered fan that had come from Ironia, idly admiring its craftsmanship. She had received the piece as a gift from Marcus when she had arrived at the Capitol, despite her leaving him behind. He was now stationed at the wallfort holding the line where as she had left to reconvene with her son. The two hadn’t been apart since Ysabel had appointed him captain, and Ysabel felt a little more relaxed after their split. He was a good lay to be sure… but something

The only thing that I can say to both of those statements is that you will find out soon! Thank you so much for reading and reviewing! I appreciate the support!

Oh, I'm so glad to hear it! Thank you very much for reading and commenting!

Adrian entered the Capitol in the evening, arriving shortly after the sun had gone down. He and his advisor had traveled in the company of just four Illjardi soldiers, eager not to draw too much attention. After the end of the most recent battle in the south they could move relatively safely, but Adrian felt it was best to be as cautious as possible. They had been stopped twice, but Adrian's banner combined with the white hair and skin of the Illjardi people had granted them passage. After passi

We will see! And yes, Jared and Marion have a lot yet to come. Thank you for reading and reviewing!

Jezebel sat at her desk, which had recently undergone some work. Now covered in art with traditional depictions of Saint Koba - Jezebel's patron saint and overseer of those that use poison as a weapon - the desk had been changed from how Jack Du Vance had originally set it up. It once had the Du Vance family seal carved elegantly into wood appliques, but that was one of the first things to be stripped off. Jezebel had also moved it from the head of the rectangular room over to the east wall, tha

Right?! I'm hoping we see a couple of stories returned to.

Well... if this crisis is good for something, it's writing! Thank you for reading and reviewing!

Indeed indeed. Luckily I've got an outline that is saved in multiple places, so it wont get destroyed like the last two. Thanks for sticking with the story and reviewing!

Luca walked through the long halls of the Di Coteau estate, trepidation following his every step. He held onto his walking stick tightly enough for his knuckles to turn white, though in truth he hadn’t fully used the cane for many weeks. His stab wound from Jezebel’s sister-in-arms Meredith had almost healed entirely since the attack, though the skin still glowed bright pink as it repaired. Luca wasn’t sure why he had chosen to use the cane today, but suspected in the back of his mind that he fe

Thank you!!!! I really appreciate that compliment. As for the plot line, you'll just have to read on to learn more I just posted the last chapter for this book today, and the first chapter of the next one is set to post on Friday! Hopefully I'm able to finish the final one out a bit quicker than these first two.

Book 3 of The Alliance series. The final book!

Kade Hawkins was many things, but a “pestilence” was not one of them. He grumbled internally about having been referred to in such a way, by his own father no less. The annoyance of the insult festered within him, until he could no longer focus on the project before him. He was working on the soles of a pair of bejeweled slippers that some noble or other had dropped off, but was so distracted that he had accidentally nailed through the toe of one of the shoes before him. This popped a piece of s

Ladders flew up against the face of the wallfort like switches being flipped, sometimes even hoisted up with soldiers riding on them. The onslaught of arrows and pitch from above dropped soldiers left and right, and a pile of bodies was beginning to form at the base of the massive structure. Several dozen ladders had gone up successfully, and Di Coteau men and women had begun to break down the line of soldiers that manned the wall. Now that things were a bit safer, Alex knew that it was his turn

Thank you for the review! Ysabel is quite a character indeed - let me know later on what you think of her as she develops! I really appreciate it
-
Thank you! I've actually just plotted the entire rest of the series out, so I'm thinking I should definitely finish How long that will take I don't know, but its coming, I promise! Thank you for leaving the review!

Both Jared and Orr are playing with some serious risk, thats definitely true. And Luca will have a tough choice to make, certainly. Oh my gosh, thank you so much! I would be so honored. If you do end up doing that, can you send me a picture of it :D? That would be so cool to see. Thanks so much for the review!
-
Indeed, indeed. And as for what's going on with Ysabel, things will be explained, in time. Thank you for reviewing!

Thank you, I'm glad that you think so! Luca does indeed have a choice to make, and it will probably be tough. I appreciate the review!

It was around midday when Alex heard the foreign war horn, a newcomer to the pandemonium that was at his every side. He had been back to back with Carl for almost a full hour, fighting through the hordes with the best frontline soldiers there were. General Orr had sent a second wave of cavalry towards the Tomacian and Rebel Nabian camp, and Alexandre and his husband were determined to demonstrate their willingness to fight for their cause, and their armies certainly took notice. Though it had be
