Just started with this story, and I'm liking the characterization of the relationship between Vasili and Mahi in particular. It's a very interesting take on the relationships people make when constrained by societal expectations, and you don't need to be the Alpha of a community to find yourself loving another man, yet married to a woman. It has happened before and it will happen again.

Loved the ending! Furball is my new favorite word of the day, lol. I also enjoyed how you're able to tackle tough subjects like discrimination in the academic world while still giving the characters chances to be funny and just enjoy the world. On to your next story I go! -

Just done with Chapter 1 and I'm really liking the story. I love the humor that shines through the fast-paced narrative, and that guy-next-door vibe I get from the main character. I will definitely keep going!

They ate the entire fish between the two of them. Drake wished something stronger than water to go with it, but he made do. Alec didn’t ask him about the fight, but he did offer to cook the fish in Drake’s place. I'm glad I discovered this story. I really like the way it's set up at the beginning, and the easy inner monologue of the narrative made me relate to the character right away. I found myself rooting for him already after the first couple of paragraphs. Great read! -

Drake woke up at first light the following day, and as soon as he stepped outside the cave to relieve himself in some bushes he realized that he felt physically great.
