Well, Mauritius is part of the Indian Ocean Commission, the Southern African Development Community and the Commonwealth of Nations and La Francophonie (French speaking countries). I dont know the rules, but you could check if, as a part of Commonwealth of Nations and La Francophonie, you could emigrate to UK or France, find a job through Internet, get working permit there and save enough money for your studies ? I just checked low cost fees one way : from Maurice to London Gatwick : 663 EUR with "Emirates", 1712 EUR with "British Airways". What do you think ?

That's my case . Everybody is free to be religious and/or to practice, but this should not interfere with his behavior with friends or date . Religion is much much more important in USA than in Europa. Here, nobody asks you to which religion you belong or if you practice or not. Here my example. Born 1929, the pressure of the Nazi power in Germany (I was 4 when Hitler came) brought my parents (extreme assimilated liberal Jews) to give me a complete religious education. I made my Bar Mitza in 1943, at the same time we heard the first rumors about the Shoah. In 1948, I became an extreme left Sionist and gave up any contact with my religion. My wife is catholic, from a strong family (one of her granduncle is a Bishop), we met in a left youth group and we didnt marry in a church. The question above wasn't our question. It was our families who had problems . So neither of us care. We like the freedom and it should be the same for all our friends and relatives. To live and let live, thats my motto.

Weird night..., Anyone ever stay up so late they couldn't sleep? Never ! My chance : when I'm tired (or when I ate to much) I'm able to fall asleep within 5 minutes. I learned it trough "autogenic training". If you want to know more about it : Autogenic training. But I had a lot of experiences of working days and nights (as far as 3 days without sleep) when we had to finish a project or to present a report without delay, or when, as a officer, I had to stay at a command post 18 hours without stop (the last time I remember, it was during the Falkland's war (1982).

Gaydar (and Bidar !) works better as soon as you have more experiences, and as you are more attentive. Its like any "electronic device" you have to switch on if you want it to work. Thats the point, you have to observe, to watch, than to analyse to build your opinion and than at last to verify. Its a learning process and its getting better and better with more trying. How to extend your "Dar" ability ? Through practice, first on known gay people, just to analyse your observations and "calibrate" your Dar, and than at any occasions. When you are in a crowd, you know that "statisticaly" between 5 and 15 % of the men around you are gay, try to find them !!. Gaydar is as many other abilities, you have to work out to increase it. Bidar is more complicated, you have to observe the subject successively in front of men and women and check it twice. As a bi myself, I found that my behavior was only "gay" when I was with gay friends who knew me. Otherwise, I was "straight" and protected against gaydar. BTW, you can observe the same phenomena concerning "Jewdar". I'm a "liberal Jew, without the "typical"Jewish face (as described from the Nazis). Traveling in sometimes antisemitic countries (like eastern Europa) I had several opportunities to meet Jews "in the closet" and to check them as "brothers". Here also experience helps !

I was 14 when I had my first "real" experience with another boy. Before, (between 12 and 13) I had mixed feelings, being afraid of both girls and boys. As an only son, living in very prudish family, I had to discover myself the "birds and the bees".Later, between 15 and 16, I learned to enjoy the pleasures of both sides., as we said then : "navigate with steam- and sail-boats" .

Not so easy to answer these questions ! A first answer, without too much thinking : Important are not the physical description, but what the partners are feeling, more what happens in their brain than in their "sexual"parts. Another point is the timing, making love goes through different phases and no one should be left out. It should be taken care of the choice of the words... they shouldn't be too precise, to arouse the imagination of the reader. BTW, making love and being raped can both be described as erotic scenes and lust can be in both. The difference is not in the act itself, but in the feelings of the actors Among the stories I red in the last few days, the description of love making in the stories written by Douglas (see story cafe) is a good example what i mean. How much of an exhibitionist are you? Quite a lot . The most part of my business life was to talk with different people, to be often "on stage" in front of managers, politicians, bankers, trade unionists, students, military-men (from low rank officers to generals), in different countries all around the world. I had to sale different products and services, but I had above all to sale myself, to impress and you can't success without "show". So I used my talents as "exhibitionist", always trying to adapt my clothes and my behavior to the people in front of me. Two "extreme" examples : when you have to discuss hard with workers at night in a foundry during a strike or when you participate at a party with "stars" at The Film Festival de Cannes, you cant be the same man . What's the most far-out thing you've done? The second part of the poll brings me to very old memories. I was 12, on holidays in Paris at my aunt. Her daughter, a 4 years older girl, with a lot of gals and guys friends, dressed me with her clothes (a very short skirt, high heels) changed my look with a ”strong” make up and introduced me as her little cousin from abroad. I had still my “baby” voice and all her friends recognized me as a “nice girl”. What began as a joke became a very “interesting” experience for me. Fist, I liked to appear as somebody I wasn’t, and furthermore I learned very quickly the ambiguity of my nature and the advantages and pleasures I could find in it. Apart of this experience, I never dressed as a woman, but I often dreamed from these moments of my prepubescent life.

As Steve say : For everybody, opinion about HIV depends a lot from your own experiences with HIV/Aids positive people. In one word, you can't have a clear opinion if you have no experience ! This is IMO the lesson Steve brought us. To be gay is not so easy, imagine the life of a HIV/Aids positive gay, twice rejected ! Any how, at least 30 % of the voters said yes, and that's a good average.

Congrats to all people who are ready to rise kids, whatever the method you will chose I had the "chance" to be bi, married with 4 children, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. My first son is born 1952, I was 23, and I had to learn hard how to be a good father ! .To rise 4 kids was a lot of worries and a lot of pleasures. I wasn't home as much as I should have been (travel, business, military services, politics, friends...) and was fortunate to have a wife who had more than myself the responsibility of the wellbeing of the kids. Our goal was 5, but unfortunately the health of my wife obliged us to stop at 4 ! . The most important is to know in advance that you have to be here for your kids and not the kids for you. Rising a kid means to let him be what he/she wants to be, advise him/her and help him/her when he/she asks, and in no case impose your will. Think seriously of it, it's not so easy . And still a very important advise to future fathers and mothers : you should talk a lot with them, but always first listen to them. Be always so open that they know they can come to you with any questions or problems and that you will always be ready to listen, and give them enough of your time. It may be sometimes a sacrifice, but it is worthwhile. I'm talking from experience, even if sometimes I didn't fulfill my duty as a responsible father as I should have, but I'm happy that my kids recognize me today as an "acceptable" father . old bob

(The black edit above is mine ) Also my opinion, but i understand the opinions of others about the "sacred act". I had a lot of partners (64 years is a long time) but never made a difference between anal intercourses and other sex-practices (BTW as well as top as bottom ). The interesting in this topic is that 95 % of the posters are between 17 and 25 years old (just 3 exceptions : 38 and 44 and of course myself). Are elder members not interested (because it's not a problem for them) or too shy ?
