    Chapter 4

That might work. If Lucinius was like his brother, then Appias would be treating them both the same. I think Appias is the type of men you would meet at a bar, drinking beer and critiquing the games, not focusing on the positive rather focusing on the negatives. "He was weak and should have won" A loud mouth braggart. He looks upon Lucinius as a weakling, there is now way Appias could sure such a child, I'm a warrior, I'm strong,. I made a name of myself in battle. I think you get the picture

    Chapter 4

Arriving at the Villa, they were greeted by Lucius and his wife. The servants immediately attended to the horses and mules as well as carrying the trunks into the Villa. Lucius warmly greeted the family paying particular attention to Lucinius. Appias didn’t like how his father was reacting to the boy. He was sure something was going on. When refreshments were served, Lucius interrogated Lucinius. He wanted to judge if the reports he received were factual. Appias tried to switch the conversa

    Chapter 3

During the next two years, Lucinius had invitations to sit in on the Senate deliberations. On the days Gaius would take him, he made mental notes, and upon arriving home, he committed those notes to his scroll. It didn’t take long for him to fill a second chest with his scrolls. But Gaius wasn’t the only grandfather that was interested in his grandson. Lucius Caecus had Senate friends who kept him informed of what was happening. Included with that information was information about Lucinius.

    Chapter 2

Appias is a military man, he isn't too sharp, think brute. Lucinius isn't a military man, I'm sure you know some men who live through their son, That was Appias. He thought his second son would also be military bound,. when Lucinius was born, he was disappointed and would have ended his life if Lucinius grandfather hadn't step in. Think football and ballet, man glorifies his football son whereas he despises his ballet son

    Chapter 2

He spent hours watching the erection of a building for one of the Senators. When he walked away, he knew how to make cement, cut stone, and make bricks. He saw a physician treat a cut. He watched, asked questions, registering all of the new information in his mind. When he read a scroll concerning the Greek Campaign, he would tell Duccius. They would discuss a battle that was recorded or the strategy that was utilized by the Roman Army. In his way, without realizing it, he was educating Duccius
