LOL.. Imagine that! You make me laff, my friend. It's Canadian Tire, btw. LOL. Well, we haven't heard yet about Max's friends because he hasn't told us. Neither has Robert. There is still a lot to come. Hang in there. Thanks very much for your wonderful comments here and on the forum. Each is appreciated. xo

Yes, poor Max. It's got to cost a lot to get up everyday, to face what he has to so bravely. It's early days yet, we can only hope that things will work out. Thanks very much Wesley for reading this story. I do appreciate it. xoxo

Max does have much to contend with. i think i mentioned Robert and Rena can drive the van...Louis has a car he takes to work, leaving the van. Don and Louis' relationship is rather based on mine. Michael and i have had reason to split up, more than once, yet both of us feel relationships are a huge investment. They are worth trying to save, it's such a waste to give up, unless there is just no way back. It's made us closer and stronger. I hope the next chapter will answer a bunch of your questions. Thanks Reader for your on-going support. Love you to bits xox

Louis and Don are kind of perfect for each other. Able to give strength to each other when it's needed and devoted to themselves as a couple. Max has a ways to go, but he can see the light ahead. Hopefully, he will take what's offered to him. Yes, poor Louis he bears the brunt, but Don is always there for him...offering strength and a place to lay his head. He will need it. Thank you, as always, for your wonderful comments. I truly appreciate your support of this story. xo

You're so right, who could? The poor kid has a lot to deal with. What would help? Time, love ... another horse might work. Yes, and then there is Louis. In the forum for Changes, there is a note about tissue warnings for chapter 6.. and its very much longer than this. Thank you so much for reading and for your wonderful comments. xo

Thanks very much Chris. Poor Max, so much to deal with. It can't be easy going through what he is. You are so right, many more changes ahead. Thanks so much for reading and supporting this story with your comments. I love to read them. If you want to chat more there is a forum for Changes. You're most welcome there. tim

Thank you. They are good most of the time and they will need to be. Thanks so much for reading and for your comments.
  9. prescind verb | prih-SIND Definition 1 : to withdraw one's attention 2 : to detach for purposes of thought Prescind derives from the Latin verb praescindere, which means "to cut off in front." Praescindere, in turn, was formed by combining prae- ("before") and scindere ("to cut" or "to split"). So it should come as no surprise that when prescind was first used during the 17th century, it referred to "cutting off" one's attention from a subject. An earlier (now archaic) sense was even clearer about the etymological origins of the word, with the meaning "to cut short, off, or away" or "to sever." Other descendants of scindere include rescind ("to take back or make void") and the rare scissile ("capable of being cut").

    Welcome

Congratulations for posting your poems. I have a small suggestion. Given that your poems are very lengthy, i'd recommend posting only one or two per chapter. Otherwise the experience of reading one after the other diminishes the meaning of the one before. Poetry should be savoured. If that makes sense?

The traffic was heavy as we drove to the Institute, so we arrived a little past our expected time. Don had texted Robert to confirm we may be a bit late, but that we were close. “I hate Saturdays!” Don glanced over at me. “Babe, would now be a bad time to reinforce what I suggested last night?” I laughed. “Probably, but will that stop you, Donny?” Grinning broadly, he replied, “Probably not!” “Well, then, go on.” “I just mean if Max comes and you still work full time, we
  12. nothing wrong with trying that if necessary at some point
  13. Well, you are in the right place to repeat yourself. Most of us have crap memories...LOL ♥️
  14. i cant stand the smell anymore ... it's like being up close to a skunk...makes me wanna vomit. I hate it.
  15. Quirky and the music is... kinda annoying. But it's okay.
  16. Michael said this building we live in used to be a no-smoking building .. but that slowly changed. But i guess they've had enough with people smoking that crap. I'm glad, i cannot stand the smell of it. Don't know why i have to have it pouring in my living room window. And people can say boo hoo all they want. i don't care ... sick of doing back flips for all these whiners/snowflakes.
  17. We've had no smoking bylaws everywhere for years ... since they have legalized marijuana apartments have been freaking because it takes forever to get the stink out of the walls. They dont want people (like our downstairs neighbours) smoking in their buildings. For which i am glad. I used to smoke it, but haven't for years.
  18. We got some letters from the apt. management. One addressing smoking in the building. They have banned all smoking, vaping, of anything tobacco, cigarettes, cigars, marijuana etc. Any one who allows smoking in their unit, balcony, halls, stairwells etc will have their tenancy terminated.
  19. That sounds nerve wracking ... and cold.
  20. Movie didn't work out.. we'll have to try that again another night. Watching an odd show called Killing Eve
  21. geez ... i wish someone had told me about Lacey .. fuck
