As the first light of dawn began to chase away the inky black darkness of night, Ethan slowly awakened from a fitful night’s slumber. Regardless of bloodline, the Alpha has to look at the bigger picture of the pack.

That was an aspect of the story I wasn't sure if I should have gone back an added. He was protective of Ethan with the rest of the group, but he didn't know why. Caleb being the local doctor was a safe place to leave his friend when it came time to return to their pack. But as you say, the answers will follow.

Thanks CG for your continued support on this story. In wild wolves strength is a major factor in who becomes Alpha of the pack. Perhaps Michael see's his father as becoming week and his defiance is the prelude to a challenge, of course that's pure speculation and might have nothing to do with the story . More will come soon.

"No Joy" does a good description of how I usually feel around the holidays. Considering I never particularly enjoyed poetry in literature classes or did well with it in writing classes, I always enjoy yours.

The scene building with the flashback is great. It lays out Craig's character well. Like SDragon said, have to be careful with wishes.

There were well over six hundred people inside the community hall and all attention in the room was immediately focused on the newcomer. Most everyone could pick up he was human from his scent and no one missed the fact he was holding hands with Aiden, considered one of the most eligible young bachelors in the pack. tim, Thank you for sharing this and thanks for sharing this other side of Jeff. It puts him into a different prospective from chapter 2. I hope there comes a day when kids like we were don't end up beaten and thrown out for being ourselves. You do have a lot of strength in you and each tear you shed is evidence of that. Hugz.Wolf

tim, your poems are always beautiful. It never fails to bring a smile to my face when I get to read one. With Don't ask for more, it is very good writing. Yes it is brutal and disturbing but it is also honest about a subject most people can't comprehend. People want to hate Jeff for his actions with you, but you're right. He was likely in that same position you were at one point. It's a cycle that goes from one teacher to the student, then becoming the teacher to the next. The most important aspect of your stories is that you got out and survived and your survival made it possible to share all these poems that you have been. Hugz my friend. Wolf

The ride back to the pack’s home territory did not seem to take all that long, although Ethan had fallen asleep from the warmth of leaning against Aiden’s side. He had an arm wrapped around Ethan and had no desire to let him go. Casey kept the music turned down lower than normal to make sure their new friend would be able to sleep.
