    Welcome

Out of the several times I've read this, it gets better each time. I enjoyed pacifist Owen being the one to knock Jay to the ground. The icing on the cake though has to be the president calling out CJ's name.

Yeah, Ethan's a little treasure with some of his comments. I'm sure Trevor gave him ear scratches, and probably lots more.

I don't see myself stripping in a parking lot after snowboarding. It's one of the perks to surfing.

The original story I posted is 8 chapters. Since it was the first thing I wrote, it was actually written as one chapter and later broken down thanks to the help of some cool people on another site. Many of them are members here and the reason I found GA.

    No encouraging him.

It's not that you were being too subtle, but since you've read the next chapter I opted to ignore the cliffs. lol On the plus side, I haven't pushed any of my characters off a cliff. Yet. 😇 Though I guess Randy may have gone over an emotional cliff.

Sorry, but hasn't started to happen. Trevor and Skyler would definitely know if they were imprinting on anyone. Randy could develop strong feelings, though I doubt it's there yet, but as a human, imprinting the way my lycan do is out of his reach. The discussion about what Ethan and Aiden are is something for way down the line. Information overload is rarely helpful. The mountains are nice, but I'm happy at the beach.

I haven't done any hikes for the pleasure of hiking, but I've spent extensive time roaming the mountains at the northern edge of the Sierra Nevada. Also portions of the mountains surrounding Mt. Lassen. While it wasn't an experience I'd describe as enjoyable, areas I got to see in their natural state were beautiful.

I can't remember where I heard it since that ad campaign was long gone before I was born. It always makes me laugh for the sexual overtones.

You just asked the trillion dollar question of politics. I agree with you. Life would be so much nicer for everyone if close-minded beliefs weren't forced on people. Sadly acceptance seems to be fading again.

    Here's hoping Trevor's openness doesn't backfire.

Unless Randy is able to come to terms with the new reality of his world, it would be a bad idea for Ethan or any of the others to approach him for a chat. The guy said he needed time. If he took the step to try and talk to Ethan, that would be a whole different case and then yes, that would be a good one-on-one with the only person who went through something similar.

Yep. My readers know how to make me smile. And nice pointing out things from all the other books.

Thank you, Chris. Not sure I'd say Randy liked Trevor resting on his knee or laying across his lap. He did try to push the heavy wolf off him at least twice. But it was done to keep him from running while Trev was in his wolf.

Thank you, Albert. Only time will tell if time is all Randy needs. It could be happily ever after or since Trevor annoyed me for so many years with his lack of helpful participation in the series, it could be crash and burn time. Shall we have a refresher on his previous interests, Shannon and Cassidy?

While each book can stand on its own, they all tie together in various ways.

This part of the state where Burney is, is just north of the Sierra Nevada. That range end on the southern flank of Mt. Lassen. I'd say it has similarities to Reno, being on the eastern side of the mountains.

Considering Randy was fearful he'd be killed when he commented on going public with what he was told, it's doubtful they'd need to keep watch over him. If he was determined to tell someone what he knows, thanks to the internet there wouldn't be much anyone could do to stop him. It would still likely get him a three day mental health evaluation in a padded room. As long as Randy isn't publicly questioning who among the population are human or wolf, there wouldn't be much point in telling the pack. Since he needs time to come to terms with what he now knows, the last thing they'd probably want is a random lycan he already knows approaching him to chat about it. Ethan would be able to talk about his initial shock, even if it didn't last all that long. The most valuable information would likely be on the human to lycan turning process. Of course, Ethan was turned and mated at the same time, so a little more that the simple bite it would require for Randy.

It's funny how I'd never seen this area when I wrote The Alpha. Everything was based on photos and what I could learn. Because of the Dixie Fire, I ended up staying at the campground at Burney Falls when we were being cycled off at the end of it. Seeing the Subway Cave and eating at a couple of the restaurants mentioned was fun. It's a beautiful area even if I don't agree with much of the politics in that part of the state.

I guess I'm lucky in that respect. Those members of my husband's family know to stay clear of us and well out of hearing distance. And I never had to lay a finger on them. 😇

I have a feeling you'd get along well with the pack.

I try to bring a little cheer to the dreaded Monday and you want to repeat it tomorrow? lol
