  1. "This place is not subject to the same rules by which your own universe operates," Minerva told them, after Horace had explained the problem with the strange hypersphere protecting the Ardvoon world. The hernacki's eye waved around at the desert-like plain, and then looked upward at the congested sky above them. "And neither are the many other universes that are based here. Some of the universes of the multiverse have similar rules, and in some cases very similar rules; but no two are exactly al

    Chapter 4

KIPLA! Even Rick groaned at that one! You insist on trying to mix my characters together like some cocktail. One of these days, I'm going to take the bait, and will YOU ever be tipsy afterwards!

    Chapter 6

I did not have an already existing Icelandic song in mind when I created the elf song, no. Most Icelanders, are, unfortunately, NOT elves. Can't win 'em all, huh?

    Chapter 2

Still trying to recover from a number of things. But the battle is going in my favor now!

    Chapter 2

I am at work on the final chapter now. Patience, is all I can say!

Lyrgris? Oh, yeah. Um...I have that planned for a future story. Um, eventually.

    Chapter 19

Having long been a fan of the 'old' Australia, and having some very good friends there, I felt it perfectly proper to transfer some of that adventurous spirit to the taming of new worlds in space. I have little doubt that if the stars ever open up for humankind to settle, Ozzies will be right there out front, ready to go. And, that they would handle a situation like the one in the story with the same level of humanity and patience as did Jem, Nico, and the others.

    Chapter 2

I'm sure the issue has been addressed by other authors than Heinlein. But I did intend that statement to cover all the needs of the environment on Benteen, including proper moisture levels in breathable air. Having grown up on Heinlein, it would have embarrassed me to have forgotten!

    Chapter 2

I did that? Oh...of course. I meant to do that. Yes, good use of previously written material. But only YOU would see that!

    Chapter 1

I rather doubt that Robin was introduced as history's favorite thief! You never know, though, as the man has a way of stealing the moment, doesn't he? More soon, I hope. Did I ever say I HATEdoctors?

    Chapter 1

I kinda feel that 'longer' is going to apply to a LOT of things here! Sorry about that.

    Chapter 1

Patience will be required for the ending!

    Chapter 9

My friend, the questions you ask and the ideas you pose always amaze me! I do dump them into the 'pool' in my head, but too often these ideas cannot be answered immediately or even really considered too much without referring back to older tales. In the broad universe Charlie and the guys have been mapping out for themselves, structuring is sometimes as much whim as logically thought-out. I do try to follow what came before, as I do dislike to contradict earlier elements of their lives. But just now, I have no answers for these two questions. I am working on my health, and improving. The current CB story needs an ending. I intend there to be one, definitely. Very best, Geron

Thanks to you, too. It's always a pleasure to please.

True. Gorge covers that angles. But I also feel he will want to help his people find their place in the new world. That they seem to lack the ability to do magick without assistance could become a lucrative business for him!

    Chapter 6

There is no intentional comparison. But If I were Browbeat, I'd be pleased, and If I were Paul I'd be pleased, at the sorta association.

Some form of swish going on there, maybe?

I saw them, too. As well as a bunch of Republic serials that seemed full of holes even to my 10 year-old mind!

Can I call you Groucho, if done fondly?

    Chapter 12

And Clement's heavy-world classic, 'Mission of Gravity', is not to be missed, either. As a kid, Barlennan found a memorable place in my imagination.

I have always been fond of Heinlein.

    Chapter 9

Humor is the grease that makes life run smoothly. A person with no humor lives without the glow that comes from realizing that even the worst of situations can be smiled at. Without that sense of sometimes-glee, we would be a dark species, indeed.

    Chapter 9

Being on a grand adventure and completing it successfully does wonders for one's confidence. You just have to be careful not to think you are then up to everything else that comes along. One thing the universe seems to glory in is surprising us with new wonders each and every day. Some of them are going to be harder to deal with than anything experienced before.
