    Chapter 4

    Oh, you've been there! 🙂

    Chapter 4

Wow. A somewhat ugly chapter, very well told. Ethan's reaction here was on the border of a blackout rage, which is extremely dangerous. I expect we'll learn more about what is behind this as the story unfolds. Taking Michael with him is going to be...interesting. What will Jonathan make of that? Great story thus far. I'm slowly getting through it, but I am enjoying your writing, and will definitely be back for more!

    Chapter 5

Architecture interests me. It's amazing, the variety that humans have endowed their structures with. And with modern materials and engineering, it's only going to get better. It just seems to me that some design ideas seem apparent to people everywhere, and that they might also occur to others, in even more distant places. I'd like to think that both beauty and function would be ideas that intelligent races everywhere would appreciate. One man's castle is another's tube transport center.

You should probably visit your local Armenti Protective Suit dealer. I'm sure they'll know much more about the product than I will!

    Shh! Be vewy, vewy quiet!

    Chapter 1

I would love to have a time calibrator of my own. I'd have my business day feel like ten minutes and my free time feel like hours, instead of the other way around as it is now!

    Chapter 2

I had to look up that bit of Brit slang. I suspect you're right. It would make one look like a cockwomble, no question! 🙂

    Chapter 2

Thank you. Um...I haven't really considered what might happen if someone peed INSIDE a suit. I'll ask Nyf and get back to you!

    Chapter 1

The best part of alien supertech is the imagination factor. It's fun to imagine what we might do with it if we had it here. Saturday nights would certainly NOT be boring!
  10. Well, now it's official. The boy's are courtin'! Sure, it was worth waiting for. It always is in your stories, Gary. What's left? Three chapters? A sequel may be needed. But I'll wait until I get to the end before I know for sure. Maybe TWO sequels.

    Chapter 3

Wow. Ethan is in a tough spot. This family sounds on the brink of disintegration. He needs to be careful, or perhaps become a casualty. Mr. Jameson sounds like he's made up his mind he's his own worst problem, but has no way to deal with it but to take it out on others. The kids are jockeying for fight or flight spots, and Mrs. Jameson just wants to hold it all together somehow. And then there's still Jonathan... Good story. I'm slowly getting through it. Worth coming back for!

I deliberately left that up to the reader's imagination! Prehensile penises? How come YOU aren't writing fiction?

    Chapter 13

Nyf would be able to intercept any form of communication that impinges upon him as radio frequency, or which he could tap into using any of several nefarious methods which we will not go into here.

    Chapter 13

Good question. Yes, the first two stories took place in the same summer. If I had been smart, I would have continued in that vein, and not have to now try to explain how much time has passed. Really, no appreciable time SHOULD have passed. I think when I was writing this story I was just thinking of the current time of the year, and didn't consider the problem with that. This is what happens when you are trying to keep track of a lot of characters and story lines. Now, how to fix it? Hmm. Nyf has his own sensors and can use them to see and hear what is going on around him, as well as to do most of the same analytical functions that suit sensors can perform. The suits have some range on him, is all, which is why he ties into the suit array of whoever he is riding with. I would say NYF could easily tap into cellphone frequencies (among others), and that human encryption would be less than secure against his level of quantum intelligence.

    Chapter 1

Uh oh. You're asking important questions? 🙂 Actually, a number of people have brought up the boy's home lives, and how their adventures might affect them. I haven't addressed that yet, exactly. I haven't decided if an entire story should be written around that aspect, or whether I can simply illustrate their home lives a little at a time in each story to give a broader picture. Still thinking about that. I have other series I am writing on, and other stories in the works, and don't even know when I'll get to the next installment of this one. Artificial lifeforms could be great friends, or, in the Terminator mode, the worst enemies imaginable. I have to figure that if WE are the ones that build them, there will be some of each out there. Sadly, the major funding will certainly go to the warrior kind. I'd much rather run into such a being that had been created by aliens. At least there would be some chance that their creators were NOT like us. Pleased to have your feedback!

    Chapter 13

I would say yes, that the translators will allow the guys to read the labels on the cans in their home mound. It hasn't come up yet, though. Haha. Having Nyf go back to earth with the guys seems a popular idea. I'll have to work that into the next installment. I'm curious about how you discovered this series. Most readers of my stories have become regulars, and friends. You are a new voice, right out of the blue! 🙂

Hi, Dave! It's never too late around here! Pleased that you enjoyed the first story. Maybe the others will appeal to you as well. Very nice comments. Great way to end the day! Thank you! --Geron

    Chapter 5

Yep. Probably just confuse poor Nyf. "How come there are two different translations to everything, Derry?" "Well, one is Google, and one is Microsoft." "Does that mean something special?" "THEY think it does!"

There is no timeline for reading anything! I am months behind others in reading a few stories here, myself!

    Chapter 13

I believe I read or heard that same tale once. I absolutely cannot imagine a soldier being able to identify another one at shooting distance unless he had first known him beforehand. In fact... I researched this story a little, and here is an article in the BBC that tends to throw doubt that the action ever really occurred. It looks like Hitler deliberately stoked this story to increase his own reputation that he had 'been spared for greater things'. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-28593256

    Chapter 13

That's sad, CG. I may have to address the issue of Cally's parents. These are different times, and kids have a much better shot at parental acceptance. But a lot comes down to personality and self-image of the parents. Some things cannot be gotten past. I have no idea how many more stories I can do in this series. Certainly not a million! 🙂
