    The Story

Good to see you again, CG. Pleased you enjoyed the story. It was just supposed to be a relaxing Christmas for the guys this time. I have seen the old Addams Family TV show, and much preferred it to The Munsters. For one thing, the humor was considerably more adult than Herman managed. Much darker at times, too. It's entirely possible the next story i post here will be the third Door story. And, I don't do cornfields.

Thanks, buddy. Very nice of you to say so. I do have a few things in the works. I have time to write, just not time to write more than one thing at a time! I'm hoping that all of us have a better year in 2021 than we did in 2020. One good thing about having the occasional rough time in your life is that it really makes you appreciate the good times a lot more! Stay well.

Actually, it's good to know that anyone can actually follow the stories if read out of order! Happy to hear they are at least cheery for you. Improving moods should be what Christmas is about!

Certainly! We had to have somewhere for the dragon to hang out!

    The Story

My dad always had the good sense not to go into my room when I was a teenager. He said he was afraid he'd get bitten by something, or crushed by falling debris. My mom stopped going in after one of my science experiments nearly yanked her into an alternate dimension where she would have been a Volkswagen minibus. She never did like German cars. People that went into my room without permission generally got what they deserved. We're still looking for my sister! 😀

    The Story

Why am I going to be kicked out of the Magic Circle? I'm not much worried about the guy's parents wondering what they have in their rooms. Most parents know that a teenager's room is off limits. Nosy parents get what the deserve! 😁

Why thank you! Nice to see you made it here! 😃 Let's hope the new year treats ALL of us better than this last one!

Then I'll see what I can do! 🙂
  9. Takes time for traumas to be worked out in the mind. Nothing harder to hide from than a bad memory. Being around Coy in this more relaxed setting, and maybe especially returning to where the riverbank collapsed that night - and moving on past it - should go a long way toward easing Boone's distress. Maybe the nightmares will ease now that Boone knows he has really moved on from that awful night. Good exploration of how Boone and Coy are looking to the future, with the common thread being that both of them are struggling with the idea that the other might not be in that future. That has to work itself out, too. I trust you to get us there in one piece!

The best gifts are free! There is a third Door story around here, somewhere. On this computer, I mean, here where I am. It's not completed, but now maybe it can be!

There you go! I was feeling the same way, that my skwish was getting stretched! Kind of an interesting feeling though! The guys will be back in July. Hopefully I will have time now to complete few other stories and get them posted here.

    The Story

I was pressed for time the week before Christmas, and couldn't quite make the date. Sorry. Crashed your browser? I thought I turned that feature off! I felt that shiver in the skwish. Or maybe it was that pizza I ate the other day? Pleased to see you here again!

    The Story

Thanks, buddy. I appreciate you taking the time to read this one. Well...I'll tell you. There was cartoon series here in the 1960s called The Jetsons. It was by the same animators that brought The Flintstones to life. I saw both shows on cable in the eighties. The Flintstones was about people that lived in the supposed stone age, and the Jetsons was the polar opposite, about life in the future. Everybody had robots, flying cars, and lives in big complexes on pillars way up in the sky. The Jetsons were the title family. Their boy, Elroy, had a dog named Astro. He was a stray they picked up and adopted. During one episode, it was revealed that Astro had run away form home, and was in reality one Tralfaz, the pedigreed dog of a millionaire businessman, who wanted him back. So the Jetsons had to give up Astro. But Astro had other ideas. He wasn't happy, and eventually the rich guy decided he'd be better off back with the Jetsons. Happy ending here. Seemed a particularly good name to give to Casper's new buddy.

And that was a very nice comment. Thank you. I won't say anything about Kontus. That's for the future! I would have liked to have had every single character from all the stories around for this entry, but that would have been really just too many to handle. I felt several were underrepresented as it was. But it was nice to get so many of them together. I have a good part of the third Door story already written, and do hope to find time to get back to that. I also have a long fantasy I've been working on for quite some time, which has been put on hold many times in order to do a CB entry. That one has 25 chapters written already. I want to finish that and get it posted. And there's a sci-fi tale, with 11 or 12 chapters done, that needs finishing. And just a lot of stuff I want to do. So we'll just do Charlie and the gang for July 4th, Halloween, and Christmas, or until we all get tired of them.

    I'm glad you said that!

Thanks for joining Charlie and the gang for Christmas. They always enjoy friends dropping in! I'm impressed you read it in one sitting. I had to do that after the first proof, and it too a couple of hours! Always pleased to have you along for the journey. Hope July 4th is better than this year has been!
  21. Hmm. More mystery? I hope your muse is back to hang out for a while. We definitely need some more of these coming!

    Part 4

I kind of wish I'd thought of the 'invisible pet' idea. But Auggie seems better off among magical folk, don't you agree?

    Part 5

Christmas is the best time for magic. Halloween is also good. Thanks for the kind words!

    Part 7

    Merry Christmas!
