Charlie and Kippy go with Rick and Adrian on a short trip before Christmas - at least, they think it will be a short trip. But once again, events and people - and a little skwish - conspire to makes things more merry! It's Christmas!
Agree that Alistair Sim beats the heck out of Reginald Owen. We watch Sim every Christmas Eve - it's a favorite, and it's become tradition. Of course...we sometimes watch the Owen version as well.
Both the Charlie Brown Christmas Show and How the Grinch Stole Christmas can be found online.
"You're a mean one, Mister Grinch! You really are a heel!" That show is older than I am. Amazing, the staying power of a true classic.
GRIM. But a happy finish, and a superb read. My only doubt (or is it a hope?) is that homosexuality will ever be culled from the race. I would rather believe that its purpose will be better understood someday. Nature seldom does things for no reason, and humans are often too slow to understand what the world is showing them. Non-competitive, non-productive traits generally die out over time on their own. The fact that homosexuality is only growing among the population suggests its purpose is a needed addition to racial survival. I can think of several productive reasons for it...but I don't know if any of them have purpose.
Time will tell.
I don't think I can confuse inane with odd. The first basically refers to things of little substance. I see lots of substance in what you write.
Odd refers more to something out of the ordinary. Now, that is definitely you!
I have to say that I don't know about miracles. But there are things that happen to people every day that seem like miracles, and that's good enough for me.
Chance can be a real animal. But it can also be the most delicate, sweet thing there is.
Thanks!
Sure, and you are welcome. I'm a sucker for the returning service personnel surprising family videos, too. I know they say that absence makes the heart grow fonder. But returning is what makes it fill with joy.
I am very sorry for your friend's (and your) loss. Remembering those that are away is the least we can do to return just some of what they are doing for us.
The luck of all those deployed is to return. Had your dad been unlucky in his deployment, we would not have the pleasure of your company today.
Always something to be thankful for, huh?
