Wow. Is this principal an idiot, or what? I hope he likes the view from barred windows. Maybe his next job will be a little less stressful to him...he'll be older when he gets out. Hard to believe someone with a temper like that could get such a job in the first place. I love it when an arrogant ass thinks he can run over top of people because of his wealth, and then finds out the hard way that those people are wealthier than he is! This has the makin's of a good ol' show! The media frenzy is a fantastic weapon...when it's on your side. So far, so good! Good work here, Al!

Oh, I am definitely hooked. I like the characters, the times, and the situation as it's unfolding. This one promises to be interesting! I'll catch up as I can! Thanks!

“I don’t think I’ve ever been so embarrassed, or so happy. Your Uncle has to be one of the coolest people I’ve ever met.” I agree. I also have been wondering if Uncle George was more sympathetic than most! Have to wonder about the patrolman that took Pete's statement, too! I think we have all known a 'Carl' in life. There seem to be a lot of these sorts of haters in the world today, driven by a devil of one kind or another. I thought the guy's 'first night' was pretty normal. All that sexual tension, suddenly unleashed? There ain't nuthin' like that first time, baby! So, we are set up now for some interesting things to occur. I'll catch up as quickly as time permits!

Thank you! I am amazed that a glitch of some sort in the system coughed up this story to be read again! Maybe it was time for it?

Everyone, no matter who they may be, is subject to the personality they are born with. Personalities can be modified by circumstance, but you never really can get away from who you are. Being gay affects some people differently than others. Not everyone can come out and be open about it. Some people want to remain in a private world, with a definite wall of safety between themselves and all detractors. Others are constitutionally unable to hide who they are. You either like me for who I am, or take a hike. Yeah, I'm gay, so what!? It is a strength to be open about who you are. It's also smart to know when not to push your luck. Announcing you're gay to a drunken mob of homophobes carrying shotguns seems unwise in this world! Knowing 'how to be' and 'when to be' is something gay guys have to learn. The same personality we are born with often makes it easier or harder for others to like us. Being gay is much easier if you're the type that makes friends easily and keeps them, even when 'they know' about you. And, it's damn hard for the loner types who just find making friends a tough goal. I think most guys are somewhere in the middle of these two opposites. I also think most gay guys have a lot of empathy for those who find it hard to make their way against the flow of prejudice and hatred out there...and a lot of respect for those that go at it against the odds. Pete seems to be willing to tempt the fates to be who he is. I already respect him and want him to succeed. I also see he's young, and while he's holding his own now, that could change. I would love for this to be a story where he wins in the end. So far, so good!

I don't want to immediately categorize Carl as 'stupid' just because he is under the influence of strong emotions. Especially at that age, emotion can dominate intelligence totally. Especially in a school locker room, where hormones often seem to have the final say in things. But he did a stupid thing, in front of witnesses, and something is going to happen from it. But I have no idea where Al will go with that yet! Mitch took a big chance. He may be rewarded this time, but it will hopefully not become a habit! Good tale, Al. I'll be back for more a.s.a.p. It's Mother's Day!

Sounds to me like he was shaking more than his speare!

Of course not. Highs school-aged guys make their own definitions of a lot of things. Sigh. Remember how FUN that was?
-
And if you go to the high school locker room, you will find even more interesting definitions!

There are no GAY monsters. There are just misunderstood ones!

Always one step ahead of me!

Well, 'wanky' is a word that has multiple meanings. I am assuming you mean it in the vein of 'unusual', or 'odd', and since we're all grown up here, I'll leave it at that. 😁

There seem to be more than a few of them around here!

When I logged into GA earlier, it suddenly said that chapter 5 of this story was in the queue to be posted. I thought it had somehow come 'unposted'. I should have investigated first. It turns out that when I originally posted that story, I posted chapter four twice. There is no way to simply 'delete' a chapter here - all you can do is unpublish it. So, I did that with the duplicate. Why it suddenly popped up again, I have no idea. When I reposted the errant chapter and checked it, I found it was a dupe, and I unpublished it again...and found that doing so unpublished every chapter that came after, too! So, I had to repost the last three chapters to get them to stay in place, and I just put a note in the duplicate chapter head telling any readers to move to the next one. Not content to leave it at that, the site also had to move the story to my latest posted, AND send out notifications that a 'new' chapter had been added. Some days, you just can't win.

The Lollipop's landing tube descended, and Frit and Pip stepped out onto the deck of the terminal bay. They looked about quickly, and then grinned at each other. "Seems safe!" Frit called. "I don't feel anything bad!" Pip added. Inside the ship, Charlie nodded to himself, and turned to the others. "Everybody ready?" The two elves had insisted on being the first to go out, saying their powers of detection would quickly look around where mere eyes could not. Pacha had allowed t

It helps a lot when readers have abundant reserves of imagination of their own!

High schools are the same everywhere, because people are the same everywhere. Good thing Peter is a scrapper, because he's going to need to be one. I like Peter's Uncle. More gold there than just what he's found in the ground. Great tale, thus far. Thanks!

A wonderful first addition to the site, a charmer of a tale that will leave you with a pleasant sigh at the end and wishing for more.

Hi, Mark! I hope this is just the first in a long string of similar additions to the site. Loved this one!

Wow. If the mother in this tale is based on your own...did you actually find the Christmas presents one year and tell your siblings? Looks like she is not going to be a fun person to know. We'll see!

What a nice little case of the creeps. Thanks!

Thank you, sir!

That's more times than I have read it!

Well, I'd much rather deliver a healthy story than to just squirt one out on the floor!

I do plan to do more of these Door tales, if I can just give birth to the story I am writing now. It's resisting completion mightily! I don't plan to do any crossovers anytime soon. I have a lot of things I want to work on before I would try something like that. But another Door story looks good for this year. Stay tuned!
