    Chapter 29

I wonder if the pun is a form of evil magick designed to make men lose their minds?
  3. Geron Kees

    Chapter 29

Both solutions would have worked. Jamie hates to litter, though.
  4. Geron Kees

    Chapter 29

Even the best of defenses will eventually meet their match. Lodda can run, but he can't hide.
  5. Geron Kees

    Chapter 29

Yeah, I'm not holding my breath, either. Yet when the next bunch lands on the moon, there will be corporate hoopla and all sorts of backslapping, like it had never been done before. Bah, humbug!
  6. Geron Kees

    Chapter 29

Ah, well. The guys are in need of a rest, don't you think?
  7. Geron Kees

    Chapter 29

Hmm. Errol Flynn as Dorf. I kind of like that!
  8. Geron Kees

    Chapter 29

I have already posted chapter 30, even if you haven't seen it yet!

    Chapter 29

The most dangerous menace a mage might face is being trapped inside his own shields with a terrible case of IBS!
  10. Geron Kees

    Chapter 29

    Sigh. Another good point!
  11. Geron Kees

    Chapter 29

Jamie has said that the shields only pass air, visible light, and sound. And even those features may be modified.
  12. Geron Kees

    Chapter 29

Some people have no vindictiveness in their souls, just sympathy. Jamie is who Jamie is. I rather like him that way, too.

    Chapter 29

I was thinking of casting Leslie Nielsen in the role of Myron The Morbid in the film version of this story. But, he's dead, and even politely asking him to come back to take the role probably wouldn't cut it!

    Chapter 29

Very good question! And, you shall have an answer.
  15. Geron Kees

    Chapter 29

And yet, no celebrations. A shame. You'd think something as important as the first landing on the moon would be remembered with a little more ceremony than this!
  16. Geron Kees

    Chapter 29

I have always kind of liked the idea that things are not always as they seem.

    Chapter 29

No. Seeri and Rier were not with them at Cotrin. Each of the characters contributes. Some, more than others. Bastyin's innate grasp of magick will certainly allow him to go farther, faster, than Irik or Gorge. But everyone has unique views, and everyone has contributed. I didn't want anyone to be left out. But, as the newest to magick of the group, it was only right that Gorge's part would be somewhat smaller as he observes and learns. I'm not handing out any spoilers, okay? I have to resist the temptation to comment on questions and speculations. All you guys have great imaginations, and obviously like sci-fi and fantasy. It has been a lot of fun doing this!
  18. Geron Kees

    Chapter 29

Wow. Well, there are only a half-dozen chapters left now, so soon you'll know!
  19. Geron Kees

    Chapter 29

That seems correct. So far as we are finding out today, the natural laws of our universe look to be the same everywhere we can observe. But it has not ruled out the idea that there may be places where variations occur, particularly near stars that seem to demonstrate unusual properties. I would guess that no fiction we can ever write here on Earth will ever match the wonders we might find 'out there', if we ever get there.
  20. Geron Kees

    Chapter 29

Everyone in this band contributes. Jamie is the centerpiece, but everyone has a seat at the table!
  21. Geron Kees

    Chapter 29

Yep. But so far, no one has a magick that can raise the dead. Let's hope!
  22. Geron Kees

    Chapter 29

    You scare me, Darth Paladin!
  23. Geron Kees

    Chapter 29

Magicks work differently in the nether, if they work at all. They have to be in their own world to see how magicks work THERE.
  24. Geron Kees

    Chapter 29

To paraphrase that great mage, Nils Armstrong, right?
  25. Geron Kees

    Chapter 29

Thanks. The characters are now writing the story.
