    Chapter 5

Love really can be warped by utter selfishness. I think Urvan was too busy thinking about what he wanted to consider any affection for anyone else.
  2. Geron Kees

    Chapter 5

I think he'd rather like that.
  3. Geron Kees

    Chapter 5

    I hope not!
  4. Geron Kees

    Chapter 5

Sorry! I think most chapters are closer to today's, and probably a little less, in length. Um, but don't quote me on that!

    Chapter 5

I had a headache the day I wrote this chapter. You may as well get used to the idea that this is a novel!
  6. Raimey smiled and laughed as he was borne between Jamie and Garvin down the hallway, his arms over their shoulders as they half-carried him along. He shed the last of his sleepiness, straightened, placed his feet in movement in accord with the others, and marched along with them. "I am being a burden to you. I am very sorry." Behind them, Snave glided along silently; and for a moment Jamie turned his head and smiled at the gargoyle. What the wooden creature thought of all this was not known

    Chapter 4

I knew I stuck him in the corner!
  8. Geron Kees

    Chapter 4

And a few they're willing to talk about, too!
  9. Geron Kees

    Chapter 4

Ooh, poems! How much wood could my guy Chuck chuck, if my guy Chuck could chuck wood?
  10. Geron Kees

    Chapter 4

    Maybe. No spoilers from me!
  11. Geron Kees

    Chapter 4

    Yes, it wood...er, would.
  12. Geron Kees

    Chapter 4

    13,519 words, actually! 😁
  13. Geron Kees

    Chapter 4

Would wood be wood if it DIDN'T look?

    Chapter 4

Snave was standing in the corner of the bedroom. I'm pretty sure I put him there, and it's not in the story line for him to go and wander off! Haha. TELLING authors to write sequels to certain stories is a lot different than having them inspired to do it on their own!

    Chapter 3

I think a heartfelt UGH is applicable here.

    Chapter 4

Fantasy worlds allow for so many things that normal fiction does not. I've found them a lot of fun to take a dunk in.
  17. Geron Kees

    Chapter 4

Garvin is not the type to be a bystander.
  18. Geron Kees

    Chapter 4

I am quite normal, My Prince. It is the world, sometimes, that casts a wan light upon everyday things, and recasts them as strange.
  19. Geron Kees

    Chapter 3

Heck, I could have been like Myron the Morbid, instead.
  20. Geron Kees

    Chapter 3

I hadn't even thought of THAT. No, it just allows them to see the true world of the nether,

    Chapter 3

One thing I am is twisted! Mwah hah hah hah haaaaa....cough, cough.
  22. Geron Kees

    Chapter 3

Granulated, or in those cute little blocks?
  23. Geron Kees

    Chapter 3

Nice villains, huh? "Here, take that, you syrupy-sweet good guy! Oh! Ouch! Did that sword thrust hurt you? I'm so sorry! There's blood! Here, let me get you a band-aid!"
  24. Geron Kees

    Chapter 3

    That was a slick joke!
  25. Raimey led them down a hallway lit by the same glowing orbs that had illuminated the prince's audience chamber, magickal bits of firefly light captured in tiny cages of bronze hanging from the walls. Their footsteps made scarcely a sound, all noise in the hallway absorbed by the tapestries of amber gold and burgundy red hanging upon the polished stone walls. They stopped before a large oaken door banded with iron and inlaid with red walnut. "This room has a single very large bed," Raimey sa
