I'm a Little Different
FlyOnTheWall commented on FlyOnTheWall's story chapter in I'm a Little Different
Noah was seven when he arrived at Charlie and Jacob's. At the end of the chapter, he's seventeen and approaching his Senior year in high school. (I may or may not have taken the same sort of liberties television writers take when making their young characters grow up rather quickly for the purposes of plot.) hehe -
I'm a Little Different
FlyOnTheWall posted new chapter in The Barnstable Chronicles: Book 5 - Beautiful Boy
My name is Noah. I look just like any other seventeen-year-old boy you might meet, except my dads keep telling me I’m beautiful. I don’t know. Maybe I am? My dads are the people I’m closest to in my life. Charlie became my daddy when I was seven years old. My mom died back then, and Charlie and Papa took me to their house. It took a long time for me to understand that my mom didn’t just go to sleep—probably because that’s what all the grownups around me kept saying. By the time I figured ou- 13 comments

The fifth book in The Barnstable Chronicles is probably the most requested story. Beautiful Boy is the story of Noah Danner, the son of Charlie and Jacob. Noah has always been a favorite character of my readers. YOU SHOULD READ STITCHER AND THE PRODIGY BEFORE READING THIS STORY! My challenge is to tell the story from Noah's point of view and remain faithful to his character. At the same time, great care has been taken to be non-offensive.

I was at Harris-Teeter to pick up groceries when a call from Matty came in. What? He never calls! It’s always a text or Facetime. “Hey, Matty. What’s up?” “I’m on my way down now. I have Parker with me, and I’m gonna drop him off at the airport before heading home. He’s flying back to Arizona tonight.” “Whoah. Arizona, huh? Sounds like he’s expecting to be away more than a couple of weeks, huh?” “Yeah, I guess so. Where are you?” “I’m getting groceries for the lake

Back to School and Right Back Home
FlyOnTheWall posted new chapter in The Preacher's Kid: College and Beyond
MATTY You know what sucks about Spring Break? Going back to school—and Spring practice—and rehearsal! Jesus! I hope I can work in some sleep during all that shit! Even more—I sure as fuck hope I can get me some Facetime with my boy! We have three weeks to opening night of Tommy, and we don’t get any time off. Fuck. Not only do I have Tommy rehearsals almost every night, I have Spring practice starting the week after we open the show. Shit! Classes, rehearsals, practice, Facetiming my- 14 comments

I woke up around seven in the morning and found Kai propped up on his elbow and smiling down at me. Matty was between us, totally dead to the world. I smiled back at Kai and whispered, “Watch this!” I pulled the sheet down and exposed my boyfriend’s amazing body—towering cock and all. “God! You guys are fucking gorgeous!” “You’re not so bad yourself, hottie-fire-boy!” “Hottie, what?” “Hehe. That’s the name Matty and I came up with for you after we saw you do y

Marriage, Blessings, and a Happy Ending
FlyOnTheWall commented on FlyOnTheWall's story chapter in Marriage, Blessings, and a Happy Ending
While there are no changes in the story, I did a LOT of editing... things like changing some grammatical errors, putting in a lot of missing commas, and rewording sentences here and there. I'm sometimes embarrassed by the amount of sex i have in my stories, but at the same time--I write those passages to cement the relationships of my characters. Sometimes it's the erotic scenes that help show the dynamics and nuances of relationships. As far as a sequel goes... none are planned. I have a few that I need to get done before I even consider a JB&M sequel. I actually started one and got stuck after the first chapter. It was more about Daniel. Interestingly, that chapter ended up as the first chapter of the Vic Greenely story in the Barnstable Chronicles. So now--if i were to do another book after this, I would have to start completely over! -
DANIEL Okay, I can’t believe I’m in New York City and just saw my first Broadway musical! Yeah, the boys in Newsies were totally hot, and the music was great, but like Pop, I was blown away with the show’s tech. But the best thing was Alex holding my hand through the entire show. It’s been quite a day. I can’t believe I squealed like a little girl when Nick Lee walked onto the plane. That was totally embarrassing, but Nick was cool—and sooooo fucking hot! I also can’t believe h

I thought Daniel was going to pass out from excitement. Cade was excited, but I don’t think he really knew who Nick Lee was other than the next guest star at the theatre. Johnny and I stood and walked to the front of the plane to greet the last of our passengers. As I hugged Kenny, I whispered in his ear, “Number five?” “Yup, and he can’t wait for some quality time with my favorite guys!” I walked up to Nick and hugged him while thanking him for the beautiful flowers. He whispered

Johnny and I finally crawled into bed just before midnight. What an incredible day! The events of the day hit both of us at the same time as Johnny and I started to cry as we were holding each other softly. I looked into my lover’s eyes as he slowly shook his head. “Jesus, Jason—I can’t believe you were able to pull all that off with the adoption! You are amazing.” “No, we just have an amazing family. I just made a couple of phone calls and brought all the pieces together. It’s ju

Okay, as far as I’m concerned, Spring semester beats the fuck out of Fall semester. Why do you ask? It basically comes down to the fact that I get every weekend—from Friday night to Sunday afternoon with the most beautiful quarterback in all of college football! Some of those weekends, Matty would have rehearsals for Tommy, and I would spend the time with Haley. She’s totally become a very cool sister. The only negative is she had already made plans to spend Spring break with her group of

Birthday Surprises and So Much More
FlyOnTheWall commented on FlyOnTheWall's story chapter in Birthday Surprises and So Much More
I actually did try writing a sequel a while back. It ended up being quite dark and scary--I didn't like it, even though it was the natural place for the story to go. I decided to leave this story where it was. And then I started the Barnstable series--which apparently STILL isn't finished! LOL -
JASON It was 8:00 in the morning when I woke up, and the only sound was the gentle, rhythmic breathing on the back of my neck as Johnny was spooning me and holding on to me with his strong arms. Then it hit me that the best part of the boys having sleepovers is Johnny and I get to wake in peace! This needs to happen more often! I softly laughed to myself when Johnny whispered behind me, “What’s so funny, babe?” I turned over to look at the man I loved more than life itself. “It’s 8:0

JASON I was just standing at the kitchen island drinking some coffee and checking mail on my phone when I saw it happen. Just like the time when I looked into Johnny Breeze’s eyes for the very first time, Daniel and Alex were trapped in a time-stopping moment and were falling in love. Poor Cade had no idea what was going on and just shook his head as he made his way into the house. “Cade! How was the tour? Do you think Daniel is going to like it here?” “Daddy, boys are so dumb!”

DANIEL My name is Daniel Christopher Hayes. I’m the only child of parents who were also only children. Mama came to the United States when she was a child from Mexico City. My Dad is a native Texan. When I was fifteen and a freshman in high school, I tried out for—and made the swim team at McCallum High School. That’s when I realized I was different from the other boys I knew. Seeing all those hot, lean boys in their speedos—and in the showers after practice—filled my head with image

I don’t think I have ever slept as well as I had last night. Johnny’s sweet and aggressive lovemaking left me completely at peace. It was pretty early in the morning when I started to wake up slowly. Johnny’s strong arms were around me, and I scooted back towards him to tighten our spoon. Something was just a little off—I couldn’t place it, so I slowly opened one eye. Staring back at me was a smiling beautiful blond boy with his hair going in all directions. He whispered, “I knew if I j

Can You Feel the Love?
FlyOnTheWall commented on FlyOnTheWall's story chapter in Can You Feel the Love?
Yes, it was. I pulled it a while back and am now doing some major editing and re-introducing it. -
In the never-ending whirlwind of our lives, things actually went quite smoothly over the next several days. There were twice-daily visits to Daniel from the three of us. He and Cade were bonding quite well, and we heard from his therapist that his spirit has lifted. Daniel’s outlook had changed drastically since he knew he would be a part of our family. We bid farewell to Caroline as she headed back to Phoenix with Margaret and Zach in tow. The two of them were planning to return on Sun

Can You Feel the Love?
FlyOnTheWall commented on FlyOnTheWall's story chapter in Can You Feel the Love?
I wrote this story three years ago. Since that time it seems half the world wants to move to Austin. That house is probably 3-4 million now. And its only going to get worse. Apple is moving its Mac factories from China to Austin. Ugh. -
As we were driving down Exposition Blvd., JJ told me to slow down, and he pointed to the house that was for sale. My heart skipped a beat when I saw it. In a neighborhood of large traditional homes, here was a two-story contemporary home that took my breath away! JJ was beaming at my reaction. “Pretty much perfect, huh? I’ve always thought of you guys every time I drove by. It’s the newest home on the street. It was built by a wealthy Japanese couple for their sons who were attending UT. The son

Thanks for catching that! Sometimes it's just too hard keeping track of all my pretty boys! 🤪

CLAY I feel like a complete fool right now. You see, Mags and I were talking last night, and she again brought up the possibility—no, probability—that we very well may have two gay sons. I’m terribly ashamed of my first response. First, I wondered if it was because of something we might have, or have not, done as parents. Then, I blamed Eddie and Matty. I actually said—out loud, no less—that they turned our youngest son gay. Mags let me have it. She told me that, for the first tim

I remember the feeling of joy when the judge granted Jason parental rights to Cade. I remember meeting Lindsay’s mother and feeling we had a new member of our extended family. I remember walking out of the courthouse. I remember hearing the word “faggot,” followed by three quick pops. I remember a searing pain race through my chest. I remember looking into Jason’s eyes. I think I remember people holding on to me and pressing into the pain I was feeling.

“Daddy, it hurts!!” Blood was pouring out of Cade’s arm. I yanked off my tie and tied off his arm well above the wound. Margaret knelt beside me. “I’ll watch the boy. Johnny needs you more!” She held Cade in her arms and began to comfort him, telling her grandson that she was there, that he was going to be alright. I could hear sirens approaching as I went over to Johnny. A police officer had removed Johnny’s jacket and was using it as a compress on his back. Another officer was a
