SOOO much speculation and I love reading all the comments. I too suspect some sort of government relocation program to protect Corbin (aka ???) A great read Wayne. Enjoying the ride immensely!

I absolutely agree with droughtquake. Having served time in the US Army and later on working with the homeless population I saw far too many cases where ex-service personnel loose their hope and direction and seek substance to ease the pain. And you are right, a "General" or lesser discharge nullifies any assistance program. It truly breaks my heart.

Yes - I concur with droughtquake on re-reading JJ's reason for running and do hope there are rumors sufficient enough that will put that monster where he belongs. Here in the US people who are incarcerated for abusing children are not well liked by fellow prisoners!! Sometimes karma does make sense! A lot of drama in this chapter - hopefully all will be sorted out. Fantastic story - I'm loving every chapter.

Another excellent chapter. I want to reach inside to slap some sense into Artie's head. I also believe Thomas is correct in speculating Grandpa and "Sleaze Ball" Ezra are in cahoots!! Now I am caught up and must patiently await the next chapter from you Aceinthehole!!! Love this story !!

Ezra is definitely up to something and it's not going to be good! I understand Artie's upbringing will resonate with the words Ezra is saying - but - he needs to get his head out of the Texas sand!

Ezra is a stalker. Also two things caught my gut - his demeaning tone of Andy and the burst of "preaching" to Charlotte. I wonder if the sexual liaison with Sarah was non-consensual ???

Yea I'm not surprised Ezra and Adam were doing the nasty - but it does sound like Ezra is a real douche bag!! Adam has a right to be very concerned about his intensions. But the legal custody papers are a mystery. Another awesome chapter. Thank you!!
