Myr's post in Link Title Issue was marked as the answer
The ' is back in the link for the moment, so the old links work.
Do not edit it again for right now. I've reported the bug to the programmer. Always use the automatic link title.
The bug, by the way, is that the link title is supposed to strip punctuation on its own.

Myr's post in Cover photo was marked as the answer
A fairly sized bug patch update to the forums has just occurred and the error was claimed to be fixed. I have reactivated it and the content is rebuilding again. Early testing is looking good.
The feature is called lazy loading and it is very important for mobile devices as it only loads images when you scroll to them, thus allowing the page to load much faster.

Myr's post in Notification quirk was marked as the answer
The bug report refers to this topic, so the programmer will see it.

Myr's post in Embedded link problem was marked as the answer
This seems to be a story bug. I've let the programmer know.

Myr's post in Notification Time Appears Off was marked as the answer
The background processing seems to be a bit slow. I'm checking into it.

Try now.
You should be able to edit, and repaste your chapter.

Myr's post in Searching for prompt topics was marked as the answer
The search is built in and there's really not much we can do about it. The Story Search works as well as it does because it is search titles only.
@Timothy M.
One option for the Writing prompts is to change the sort function to "Title"
It should let you find the prompts faster.

Explanations of the Reactions are there when you hover your mouse over each one.
In order from left to right...
Love Haha Wow Sad (that's a sad face on a teardrop, by the way) Angry The reactions are standard part of the site in all sections. And they are reactions. Chapters can make you react in many ways from good to bad. Just like any post...

Myr's post in Amazon Link was marked as the answer
The link in the editor is for linking to something. You could drop the Amazon ID number in that and it'll create a link in your post.
We removed the link to Amazon from the pages, because it really wasn't doing much for us, even when it did get clicked.
Thanks for thinking of us though!

Myr's post in Followed stories was marked as the answer
If you browse to the stories page and use the filter, you can see what stories you follow:
If it doesn't filter, simply hit the - and do it again. It sometimes gets confused.

Myr's post in Special Characters in Story Titles. was marked as the answer
I think so long as it does not start with anything like that (which the system should actually reject) it works fine. The bug was that none of that is allowed in the friendly link system. Ie, the link to the actual story. So this: "This? No! That! That? No! This#" turns into this in the link: story/myr/this-no-that-that-no-this/
The previous bug wasn't properly stripping the odd characters and therefore the stories couldn't be found.
So, that example worked on the test server. In theory it should also work on GA. No promises as most that stuff certainly should not be used in a title. I can see a "!" or "?" maybe an "&". But all of those are also programming symbols and one never knows when a hairball will be coughed up.

Myr's post in Comment Notification was marked as the answer
There are a lot of goofy restrictions with the built-in software, which is where the notifications come from. (from a technical standpoint, notifications are triggered by a container. It's not designed to give you the container's container.)
Trying to get them to be more useful has been on the list for some time.

Myr's post in Reason for edit box was marked as the answer
Reason for edit box is controlled by the forum software, not us. From a software standpoint "Comment" and "Post" though visibly similar, are not handled the same way by the software. That's not in our control.

Myr's post in Archived threads was marked as the answer
Start a new topic and include a link to the old one in the first post.
Unfortunately, we have 1 setting for archiving. 7 days covers the need to get the chat topics archived quickly but it is aggressive for other stuff.
No. The easiest way to explain it, and it's not that accurate, is to say old topics cause fragmentation of data when they are lingering and getting posted to.

Myr's post in Is GA posessed? was marked as the answer
probably a temporary hiccup somewhere in the pipeline. there have been no alerts at the server level of any issue.

Myr's post in Story wrong number in series was marked as the answer
When you come across this issue, just hit the X button on the story to remove it from the series and then re-add it. (also check to make sure I added the right one...)
Did you create a World, since this is a case that would fit? You have short stories and a series in the same world...

Myr's post in Poem formatting problems was marked as the answer
Use the indent button the editor, not spaces. Excess spaces are stripped out.
