It was April of 2002 when my life changed. All I wanted was to sit in a pew. Okay, let me set things up here. My name is Mitchell McKenzie, at that time I was thirty-one, turning thirty-two in following October. For all my life I tried to be what I was supposed to be. Straight. I was twenty-eight when I tired of the daily headaches and this queasy feeling my death was right on my heels. Going to the doctor, he sent me to a psychologist where I told him there was something I hadn’t told anyo

Tony is from the North. Mitch is from the South. Tony is Catholic. Mitch is Baptist. Tony drives a Mercedes. Mitch drives a pickup truck. Tony wears designers. Mitch wears jeans and t-shirts. It's a mismatch made in Heaven

The people of Royal Valley were so pleasant and friendly that evening. There were a lot of positive comments, hugs and thank yous, I almost didn’t get to spend any time with Seth! We were both demanded by almost everyone. But a great time was had by all. I danced with many that night, Eb, Norton and Keith included. Being liked and appreciated was the best present I’ve ever gotten. I was dancing with Maria when she was tapped on the shoulder. Turning, she smiled at Seth. “I guess I can let yo

In two hours, you'll find out! I'm excited. And I wrote it!!

But wait! The next chapter is going to be...well, you'll see. In eight hours.

We waved good-bye to Matt in the morning as he went to tell Sam and Terry the good news, waving as he rode off. I looked at the town below. There was a lot of activity. There were people going back and forth with destinations that had to quickly to get to. I looked at Seth. “What’s going on in town?” Seth squinted as he looked closer. “I don’t know.” Then he nodded. “Has it been a year already?” He pointed. “I see a lot of red ribbons. It must be what’s his name’s Love Festival again.”

I got that from twin language and seeing babies that learned to sign very early. They could sign when they couldn't say the words. And the boys are close, so why not?

Seth and went back up to our sons. “I don’t remember him,” Seth said softly, as tired as I was from our long few days. “He said he was an associate,” I said taking my vigil by Dennis. “You don’t know of what, do you?” Seth sat in the rocker, taking Toby with him and began rocking with him. “No. But knowing Arthur, I don’t think anything is impossible.” It was another two days before the fever finally abated. Thoughts of Candor were the last things on our minds. I almost cried as

There was ways to keep ice in the past. And I know they could make it, but to have that much available, I wasn't going to push their technology level too far, too fast.

Going back to the winery, I was approached by several of the workers. “Is Bent marrying Garth?” One woman asked excitedly. “They are so precious!” Another held her hands heart the way women do when the say, isn’t that so sweet. “I thought they were married.” A man griped. “They acted like they were.” I pointed to the first woman. “Yes.” Then the second. “They are.” And to the man. “Tomorrow.” The man chuckled shrugging. “Okay. Any reason for a party.” I looked out the win

You think Arthur built his empire alone?
-
The mayor! He has the power. And one other I haven't figured out, but Seth and Erik will be in it. But beware, on every rose is a Thorne!
-
Wait! It's not finished. I posted the next part. Even Dr. Ruth would be scratching her head.

We waved to Garth as he left. Seth grinned at me. “So, I’m big, am I?” I rolled my eyes. “Sort of.” Then patted Seth on the chest. “Leave it to you to only hear that part.” I shook my head and walked back in the kitchen backward, grinning at him. “It was significant!” Seth called back. Our day did go on, but I should have known. It was afternoon when I was in the winery and Bent came in nearly out of breath. I looked up. “Bent?” I couldn’t help but smile at him knowing what w

Seth grinned up at me. “I guess the spontaneous parts of our marriage aren’t quite over.” Smiling back, I kissed him a little slower, taking my time as I probed his mouth, almost feeling each tooth with my tongue. Then I sat up, patted him on the chest. “We’ll just have to be more careful.” Then Seth gently pushed me aside. “One of the things needed when you first get up…from sleep.” He grinned. “I gotta pee.” And he rushed in the bathroom. Our day began again. Dennis was now s

What!? (I ask with eyes wide and evil grin.) Cinderella is the most sexual tale of them all!! Two beautiful people, she was between 16 to 18, he was 18 to 20 and at the beginning of adulthood. And Gorgeous!! Cinderella was the greatest foreplay ever written. You know what happened.

Our lives changed drastically when we had the boys. I never closed our door to our room, there was always the occasional need that would arise. Little people would let you know there was something going on. That was also manifested with a visit at night. Toby would have the occasional nightmare and come in Seth’s and my room for comfort and reassurance. Seth and I both knew that. “What if we’re making love?” Seth asked me. I shrugged. “What if we are? Do you want him to think we’re doing

Nah, that was a tradition that predates the FSE arrivals. She's a real icon, look her up. These holiday traditions came from Italia. (Italy in our world. I married an Italian, he's where I got her from.) But wait until next chapter. It's going to hit the fan!

Ella walked in carrying Dennis who was still weaving his charms on Ella. Smiling and almost making noises…well, he was making noises to her. “It’s like he wants to talk, but he can’t,” Ella said shaking her head. “None of my children did that until they were at least six months old. It seems he’s doing it to me on purpose!” She looked at me. “I see him, but I can’t believe he’s six weeks old.” I chuckled. “Well, I didn’t see the birth happen, but I did see the aftermath. He was born six

I started writing this as a fairy tale. It still is, but in every world where people are in, there is good and bad. There is more than evil wizards, witches and elves. Not just spells and curses. There is injury and disease. It turns out fine if good people are involved. There is triumph!

I shook my head. “None of you have had children? In two centuries? How can that be?” Dara and Demetrius shrugged. “Well, it’s not from a lack of trying,” Dara said with a chuckled. “And we did try.” Demetrius agreed. “It just wasn’t happening. I could tell you boys some things. Even help you guys out. There are some things you haven’t figured out yet.” Dara shoved him lightly. “Stop. They do just fine.” Then she shrugged. “Apparently our time is about to pass.” “We were given the

I've changed quite a few. Never my own children, wet and dirty. That's a less sparkling moment in our lives. Especially now that some are grown men and women who don't like to be reminded.

Now came the fun of trying to work with two small children. Ella did it as queen, so did Terry. I determined not to be outdone. But my office sure changed. Now there was a bassinet in my office and toys. I was always having to watch my step to keep from stepping on a ball or spinning top. I had gotten a few books for Toby and some puzzles which he played with while I worked on the books. I was fascinated that he hardly ever made a sound. He would look at me, that face stated he wanted something

My words were true. Rest was not a lot Seth and I were not going to get much of now. Seth and I lay beside Toby, who of course had his own schedule. It was only a few hours after we’d drifted off when I felt Toby stir. Opening my eyes I saw him look to see where he was and looked a little frightened until he looked to see me, then on his other side was Seth and the fearful look went away. I smiled at him rubbing his head. Of course, he needed changing. Welcome to fatherhood, I thought. I put my

There's magic. It's not over. But Toby is fine, and that's the real point. He doesn't need to be cured. He has a magic all his own.
