Josh likes to feel empowered by the fact he has a body people want it/him but it’s the one thing he has absolute control over

Have you ever met some and just felt at ease with them? Like you’ve known them your entire life? That’s what Gavin feels maybe they haven’t had some massive private one on one but to him he never gets that. Whatvseems superficial to you may. Not seem like that to Gavin. There is always a motive to the people that want to get to know him. As with josh he has no motive at all. Gavin has motives for the Hawaii trip is to get to know him better granted it could or could not happen since it won’t be just the two of them. Gavin’s hoping to make it feel more “organic” we haven’t heard what Josh thinks at all on it. He keeps his emotions bottled. For josh the connection started when Gavin didn’t judge him that afternoon he’s always had trust issues and I’m not saying he’s over them at all but he could start seeing something good in all his bad luck that he has. Trust me things you’ve pointed out won’t go unanswered or touched on.

I think at this point Josh is exhausted to keep fighting with everything and everyone. We don’t really know what he thinks either.

I hear a knock on my door. “What?” I groan out. The door opens and Taylor walks in and shuts the door. It was a combination of both Clint being on the board and Nico mishandling the situation. Joe implied a ton of things that probably didn't go unnoticed, I feel almost bad for Joe in away because he does try to fix things even though he ends up screwing them up even more. We may find Josh in a bad state of mind next chapter, because he made a rash decision and he is probably going to make the wrong ones still like you said try and throw himself into work which could be a massive downfall. I have started writing it and well It's interesting how he dealing with things.

You’re right. Joe is also a teenager not understanding the way things work all he knows is that his brother is on the hospital and he wants to see him. Was it handled right no not at all. It was a tense day for them all.

I feel bad for Joe, because I believe he is willing to do anything to fix his relationship with his twin. No he is book smart, but he lacks empathy for others. Agreed those who cannot keep things to themselves is a pet peeve. I am really happy you are enjoying the story!

I wanted to give him a lot of depth I originally had the interaction with Xander shortened, but it didnt feel right to me. I wanted to show that yes Gavin is in the spotlight, most young adults that are in that position seem to be very self centered and all about "me" Where as Gavin has so much love to give he doesn't think about that its all about me mentality. He feels like he is to blame for Xander not leaving since he was gone. Joe tried to over compensate and sticks his foot in his mouth non-stop. Agreed he needs a ball gag. Josh was embarrassed and knew more question would follow, agreed it wasn't okay with how he left things. Let's hope Gavin can get through to him.

I am HAPPY with that haha! I know you have been a amazing reader of all my stories. I hope this one is showing to be different before I followed a very tight formula as in I have to do this at this point, it has to be only this long. This time, I am just writing until I am content with the chapter I threw out my formula I felt as if it was holding back, I would cut out details to shorten now I am like oh it's 15 pages screw it! Jane is easily one of my favorite characters. She’s always been able to adapt and overcome also her time around Gavin has rubbed off she’s more personable. I believe Gavin is extremely lonely he’s in a spot where everyone wants to be you’re “friend” but not be a friend. Clint just wants his kids happy and he’ll do whatever it takes. At that point they will cross that bridge when it happens. Clint isn’t expecting them two to just hit it off. He’s taking a chance he’s done research on Josh he knows his a genuine person. Like Clint told him they’d cross those bridges if and when it came to it.

Clint isn't as clueless to things as he likes to act. The man is smart, he wants what's best for his son and Josh. Joe could cause alot of problems for Josh if he wanted.

That is why there is so much resentment right now because Josh did have to live on the streets Joe was tucked safely in bed.
