In future chapters we really start to get a better picture of Tyler and what skeletons lie in his closet. He tries to be the best possible version of himself because he knows what a pitfall could do to those he is around. Don't worry we will get inside that head of his soon enough. Coach and Ryder have a ton of ground work to work on.
I lay back panting, looking over at him, and feel the cold air hit my sweaty body. It sends a chill through me. “That was fun,” I say, putting my hand on his chest.
He laughs. “Yeah… it was.”
“We need to keep doing this,” I tell him.
Callen leans up on one arm and looks at me. “Why, so you can keep kicking my ass in how fast you are?”
“Dude, I am just trying to get you running faster !” I tell him.
“Meh, I like slow
“You sure you don’t want to go with the rest of the team and celebrate?” my Dad asks, as he locks the field house.
“No,” I say, moving the strap of my bag to my other shoulder. I don’t really want to have a heart to heart with him. It’s not that I dislike him I love him, I just don’t know if I will get my dad or the coach.
He looks at me with a concerned look on his face, “Son, it’s going to be ok.”
“Dad, it’s just been a long week,” I tell him sh
Thank you so much! Yes Rusty has put alot of time into editing and helping me organize the story where it's not going to leave holes in it. I can say this much these new chapters I have never felt more confident in my writing that is for sure!
“So how are you and Callen progressing?” Dr. Decker asks.
I fiddle around with some of the trinkets on her windowsill. “We’re ok.”
“But?”
“It’s stupid.” I I tell her as I plop myself on the little couch facing her
“Well, it’s obviously not stupid if it has you so worked up about everything,” she says, leaning back in her chair.
“We both just have so much on our plate that when we are together, it’s just awkward at
It’s been over a week since I’ve seen Callen other than school but even then we didn’t get to talk, since every teacher I have seems bent on making me drown in homework. Garret showed up and gave us the news about Shawn and Dylan. Plus, he was pissed that Callen tried to pull a fast one on him. Garret told my dad that no one was at Callen’s house, and now I am grounded.
Jeremy comes into my room. “Hey, you want to ride to the doctor’s with us?”
“For what?” I a
“Hey Dad… since the other team forfeited, can I go to Callen’s tonight?” I know it’s a long shot, especially since my dad knows Callen and I are together.
He takes his hat off and looks up at me from his desk. He lets out a sigh, “Does his father know that you two are together?”
“Yeah, he is cool about it. He trusts Callen and told him to be responsible,” I tell him.
I know this doesn’t exactly sit well with him. He leans back. “Ryder, you need t
