DEVYN The wolf’s nails clicked on the wooden floor, Jason's hand resting on his back. Devyn could smell his brother's nerves, like an acid that filled his body, bubbling and making the neko tremble. Devyn's fur seemed to help Jason, and the wolf was happy to have the neko touching his coat. He couldn't figure out why he felt so happy around his brother. Normally it took a while for Devyn to warm up to people. But he almost felt like Jason was meant to be his brother; like they completed eac

As soon as the trader set eyes on Hope, Elluin knew he was in for a fight. "Remember the deal. We guard your wagon, and you get an extra gold for it," he said sharply. "There is no risk in it for you, only profit." "The risk comes from being stabbed in the back by a demon," the trader hissed. "Oh come on. I don't even have a dagger," Hope scoffed. "Then how do you plan on guarding my wagon?" "With my fearsome looks." Elluin couldn't help the snort that escaped him. Hope w

Torchlight flickered over the walls of the Zyrel manor, welcoming its new master home. Adan guided the wagon up the drive to the manor, a small frown on his face. “Lord Arien sent a bird ahead,” Lady Corin explained. “The lady chamberlain in waiting has been getting the estate in order for your arrival.” As she spoke, Adan saw several people taking up position in front of the manor, bowing as the wagon neared. Marel stood before them, holding a bow as her prince brought the wagon to a ha

I usually don't read shorter pieces, but I enjoyed your other work and decided to give this one a chance. I am so glad I did. This story tugged at my heart, leaving me wanting the main characters to figure out their truths. I very well done story, and one I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting something short and almost bittersweet in its telling.

Dim light filled the air, the sun just below the horizon. Roku's hands shook him again, the mage groaning as he woke up. His head ached, his body sore from the night before. The mage felt miserable, yet he put his feelings aside for the moment. Nearby, Adan heard the wheels of a wagon creak by, a friendly voice calling to them. Lady Corin responded in kind, already packing for the day's journey. Adan sat up with a yawn, Roku smiling hesitantly at him. "Lady Corin said I should wake you."

DEVYN He woke up with a strange scent in his nose, a light musky smell, and a warm weight holding his body. It was a strange smell, but that didn't mean it was bad. In fact, Devyn liked the smell. He wouldn't mind being covered in it. It was... Jason? He was in bed with Jason... Oh... He had heard the neko moving around in bed the previous night after everyone went home. The wolf figured it was hard to sleep when your den didn't smell like you. He'd had trouble with that before. But it

Jordan yawned as he carried a bag out to his new car. Tossing it in the trunk, the wolf made his way to Damian, who was busy installing Dylan's car seat. The neko cursed as he pinched his hand in a buckle. "Who designed these things?" he fumed, shaking his hand. "Here." Jordan leaned into the backseat, his hip brushing over Damian's groin as he reached for the buckle. He could feel Damian's dick hardening against him as he fumbled with the buckle. With a satisfying click, he

Who's a good boy? *wolf ears perk up*
-
Yeah, it's a person with cat ears and a tail. I have a picture of one of my neko characters on my profile, I think.

Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoy the journey

Yeah. Even my BF says they're ugly.

DEVYN The wolf’s body fell onto the bed, landing in a mix of skin and fur. Devyn let out a growl, shoving his snout under his pillows. He didn't need Marin's class. A bunch of faelaera sitting around in human form, complaining about how much being a werewolf sucked. It was a waste of time. But his mom didn't seem to understand that. Of course, growling at Jason hadn't helped his case at all. His parents always asked for someone to pass food at the table. It was unusual for people to reach

His mates were waiting for him when he got home. As he knew they would be. Dylan was nowhere to be seen, and Jordan assumed he was sleeping. It had been a long day, especially for a baby. The wolf sat on the couch, between Damian and Lysander. Damian handed him a biscuit, and Jordan smiled, taking the offering. "I love you," he said, kissing the neko. "What about me?" Lysander demanded. "I'm still debating with you." "Ouch..." Damian and Lysander both laughed, Jorda

My take on this whole story. First of all, I'm loving how you have fleshed out the story. I never really liked Dorian, but hearing his story has definitely changed my opinion of him. He has always had anger issues due to his father, but only recently do we see them becoming more detrimental to himself, and likely eventually to his pack. I agree that Levi is likely behind him, and I wonder what made Dorian choose Levi as beta. Sure they are friendly, but I would hesitate to call the two of them true friends. In any case, I am grateful to have picked up this series again. The first book is as enjoyable the fourth time reading it as the first, and Chris' story makes me feel so much for him. It is really no surprise that the same has happened with Dorian's tale. I can't wait to see how his back story continues to pan out.

Jordan set up a table in front of the store. Lysander stood near his truck, Dylan in his arms and Blanche playing with the baby neko. Today was going to be packed with the bake sale. At least Jordan felt the energy from the moon pulling at him, making him more active than before. He always got this rush of energy close to the full moon. "Where do you want the box of biscuits?" Damian asked. "I thought you were in charge of those. I'm selling books," Jordan replied. The neko nodded

He's about three and a half feet tall. So yes, he is very short.

When Jason was six, he was involved in an accident that stole his parents and his voice. Left alone in a world that attacked him at every turn, he learned to hold onto his light and find comfort in himself. Then he was adopted by a family of wolves, and everything changed. Born a wolf, Devyn doesn't understand many of the rules of his two legged family. He tries his hardest, but life on all four is much more fun. Not many get him, even in his own family, but his new brother seems different somehow.

JASON Jason stood in the doorway of the house, his new home. After ten years in an orphanage, he had a family again. A family he barely knew, but he was still grateful to be out of the orphanage, away from all the elves and humans that bullied him over his marble grey tail. "Welcome home," Margaret smiled, entering behind him. "Richard should be home tomorrow. He took a shipment to Sarelin." The neko nodded silently, looking around the living room. A large couch sectioned off the room f

As Adan weaved back through the garden, he was approached by a guard. “Forgive me Your Majesty, but we were told not to let you walk on your own,” Eran said, his hand on the pommel of his sword. Nodding, Adan focused on Roku’s energy, feeling the tiger approaching from behind. He had the tiger’s support, as always. “I hope I will be seeing you in the sparring ring tomorrow,” he said, focusing on Eran once more. “Of course Your Majesty.” The words nagged at Adan. His title was

Damian stood in front of Lysander and Jordan, an ear flicking nervously. Jordan thought he looked adorable, but the werewolf remained silent, respectful of his mate. Whatever Damian had to say had the neko nearly wringing his hands. It had been nearly two weeks since the wild events that had thrust the three mates together. Jordan could feel the moon that night, growing slowly to its fullest. They had another four days before he and Lysander would shift, leaving Damian to watch Dylan. Lysan

This is something I actually looked up. A baby fox is a lot, and the plural is kites.

“What are we doing here?” Tristan sat on a swing, pushing it gently with his feet. The vampire shrugged, the creaks of the chains holding the swing up filling the predawn air. “I just like to swing,” he said. “Does there have to be a profound reason for everything we do?” Simon looked around them at the empty park, a soccer pitch nearby, a large play structure in a pit of bark. This was where all the rich parents took their kids, and they expected only the best. The vampire remembered the par

His apartment gleamed from top to bottom. All the dishes in the kitchen were drying, the garbage taken out. Even the bathroom had been scrubbed clean. And yet Jacob procrastinated. He should call Laura. He needed to call Laura. Or was he supposed to call her Jason? Jacob dropped onto the couch in his living room, letting out a long sigh. This was so confusing. Why was it so hard to call her? Him? They were best friends, almost lovers. They should be able to talk about anything. His pho

Basically they are descendants that come from a human making a bargain with devils. They aren't always human though. There is a possibility Hope might come from an Elven parent given his appearance. A google search can bring up an image of a typical tiefling, though Hope has noticeable differences, giving his connection to rakshasas.
