Elias stared at the glass held in the circular metal. He was suspicious of the object the Faro held out to him. Both Scholar Sein and Reinard promised him the glasses would help him read, but he couldn’t help the unease that ran through him. “Just try them.” Iason’s voice startled the neko. He had almost forgotten the Egaro was there, tailing them wherever they went. He didn’t like looking at the tiger; it made him miss Artemis even more, and Elias found himself hoping Artemis would re

I enjoy listening to the music. I have a new favourite song thanks to you.

Relax. It was much easier said than done. Artemis took deep breaths as a dozen cameras and microphones were pointed at him. He hadn’t seen technology this outdated since finding Elias. Atharo stood beside him, speaking calmly and clearly. “Recently, this Egaro transported water to your fine planet. He was set upon by pirates hoping to deny you all water and start another war between your people and the Faro. When their first plan failed, and Artemis finished his task, he was poiso

A Day in the Life of a Wolf
Yeoldebard commented on Yeoldebard's story chapter in A Day in the Life of a Wolf
Call it wolf intuition Eric ran off, and will hopefully stay away. -
The bike pulled up to the apartment, its engine purring. Jordan shut the bike off, Damian letting out a sigh that warmed his shoulder. The neko remained on his back for a few seconds, his breath heavy. Jordan could feel his erection pressing into the werewolf’s back and it fed his own arousal. But the outdoors was not a place for that. “You okay back there?” he asked. “Uh, yeah,” Damian replied, pulling away from the wolf. He climbed off the bike, giving Jordan the space to follo

“Excuse me,” Geiro said sharply as they entered the shuttle. Artemis turned his head toward the Faro. “What do you think you are doing?” “What?” They were safe here. Probably the safest they would be for the next week. The tiger didn’t see what Geiro was upset about. “You just kissed a Faro’s Bonded! Right in front of him!” “Oh that. Reinard’s okay with that,” Artemis said. “Tcha! Do you know anything about our customs, our way of life?!” “I know something

Jordan groaned as he rolled over. His back hurt and as he regained his senses, he realised he was laying on the floor. Why was he on the floor? Oh right, Damian… The werewolf turned his head, finding the neko seated cross-legged on his bed, staring at the wall. “Afternoon,” Jordan yawned. “Good afternoon,” Damian replied quietly. The neko stood up, drawing his hood over his head. “I’m going to head out now. Thank you for the bed,” he said, crossing to the front door.

Not everyone can be a master of strategy. Unfortunately this seems to be one of those times when the limits of the author are pushed on the characters.

Thank you.

Elias stood in Artemis’ arms, watching the white Egaro fix a chip into Reinard’s necklace. Reinard was unhappy with the situation; he should be the one holding Elias, keeping him safe. But Artemis was good enough, he supposed. At a certain level, the Faro knew this was all his hormones urging him to protect what was his. But Elias wasn’t his. Elias belonged to Elias, and while Reinard wanted to protect the neko, he couldn’t take away Elias’ freedom in doing so. “When we are planet-side

Definitely a neat trick to have. If only we could escape to a literal quiet place whenever we were upset.

Thankfully it wasn't poison, but something much better.

Artemis purred as he nestled into the crook of Iason’s arm. “That was amazing,” he murmured, looking up at the white tiger. “Mmm, I’ve missed this,” Iason agreed. “I’m guessing your companions have not been sating your urges.” His fingers trailed under Artemis’ tail, and the smaller tiger squirmed away. “Elias tried once, but I think I scared him away. And Reinard… Well, I assume you know about Faro.” “What you need is a good strong tigress to see to your needs,” Iason s

Jordan stopped in front of his apartment, turning to Damian. “Do you need to get anything?” he asked, motioning toward the alley. Damian shook his head. “All I own is on me right now,” the neko said. “The laundry from this morning… I was helping someone with that. He offered to buy me lunch after.” Jordan chewed on his lip nervously. Damian had it rough, but he really didn’t know how to help him, aside from offering him a place to stay out of the cold. Unlocking the door, the

“Kitten?” Artemis gripped the door as the ship shuddered. He felt weird, letting Atharo fly his ship, but they knew how to dock on a larger ship. He didn’t. Elias’ eyes glared out from his den, the neko’s tail flicking. “We’re landing. Atharo wants all of us on the other ship until we get to Oyhaf.” Grumbling quietly, Elias pulled himself out of his nest, sliding down the pole to the ground. “Elias, you know we love you, right?” Artemis asked. His hand fell on the n

Ruined Hopes and Dreams
Yeoldebard commented on Yeoldebard's story chapter in Ruined Hopes and Dreams
Or he knows and doesn't want to lose the chance of a bed for the night. Additionally he is with Jordan while other wolves are changing. Maybe he misheard the mage, maybe she just had her information wrong. -
Jordan downed the wolf potion with a swallow and tossed the bottle into the garbage behind the shop. Taking a moment to let the juice settle in his stomach, the werewolf walked through the back door of the shop. “You’re late,” Halor said, pushing past the man. “I’m supposed to be here at two. It’s 1:55.” The front door opened and Jordan hurried out to the main part of the store. Damian stood in front of the counter uncomfortably, his hood over his head as usual. “Hey,” he sai

For sure the Empire would rather have the Oyhaf shipyards under their control, but the question is would they risk open war for a system right next to one of the founding species of the Alliance? It's a very strategic position, but it is also one the Empire would not be able to reinforce very well if war did break out.

I think he always will, but if he takes thing one day at a time hopefully everything will work out for him.

The room on the other side of the door was a display of organised chaos. Xanar hurried back and forth through the open space, clustering in groups, sitting against the walls. Elias walked through it all, shoulders hunched between Reinard and Artemis. He hated everything about this room, the noise, the commotion, the people in it. It was only Artemis’ firm hand on his shoulder that kept the neko from running. “Don’t worry kitten. You are safe with us,” Artemis said quietly. They ap

Jordan opened his eyes with a yawn, stretching out on his bed. His arm hit the bone off the bed, and the loud clatter of the bone landing on the floor startled the werewolf. He sat up in his bed, a little disoriented. Reaching for his phone, he realized he had taken it with him yesterday. “Fuck…” Thinking for a moment, the man stood up, grabbing a relatively clean set of clothes. He dressed, grabbing his laundry basket. Checking to make sure the straps he had tied to the basket we

Elias curled up around Reinard, the Faro sleeping in his fox form. The neko’s hand ran down the fox’s body, stroking the coarse hair calmly. He could do this forever and be happy. A knock at the door reminded Elias that he really couldn’t do this forever. “We’re passing through the portal in five minutes,” Artemis called through the door. The tiger had to have heard Reinard earlier. Was he okay with it? Or would he try to kick the fox off the ship? Elias stood up and Reinard’

Elias tapped on Reinard’s door six hours into their journey. He was worried about the Faro. Reinard hadn’t left the room and the neko thought something might have happened, though what could have happened, he couldn’t say. “Come in…” Reinard’s muffled voice called. The door hissed open and the neko squeezed into the room, standing between the bed and the desk. Reinard was curled up on the bed, buried in his blanket. “Does Artemis need me?” the fox asked. Elias shook his head.
