Pa is just one awful cruel person, and I doubt that Rob is any better. what was he doing down at the creek? Just as well August and Fletcher weren’t doing anything, because there sure would be hell to pay. 🤬 I like the story but I do have a bit of trouble with the dialogue, he does put me off reading the story more than a few chapters at a time.

The age of consent in Ohio is 13, by authority 16, unrestricted 18 Wyoming the age of consent is 17, 13 is way to young 🙁

A great end to the story, but I have to ask why didn’t Taggert just go and pay off the debt instead then there would have been no need for the farm to go to auction and it would have saved Taggert a lot of money, basically he has spent all of his money and just got a stake in Nasser Ranch to show for it.

This seems like a good story, Morgan could have said that he came home and found his uncle had taken a fall off of the veranda, and no one would have been the wiser, but then we wouldn’t have him working at Riggs’ ranch 🌈

I would like to see Taggert and Bert form a partnership to buy Fleming and Taggert, Ash and Eric run it, maybe they build cabins to lease out.

There was a lot in the first part of this chapter with the full explanation of the trust and how it is structured, but then we come to the last part where everything about Taggert and the cruelty that he has endured at the hands of his own sperm donor and co, it’s just disgusting. Yoder snr has lost all of his right to be called Taggert’s father after what he has done. I would like to see Yoder ranch go down the drain. 🤬
