Well the last few lines of the chapter were interesting, I wonder if Brandford knows that Ash is gay and has a soft spot for Taggert? hopefully in the next few chapters we will find out more about Taggert, because our esteemed author won’t give us any clues 🕵️

Neil needs to grow up and act his age and not his shoe 👞 size. Alex needs to figure out what he wants in life, does he want to be a writer/composer or something else? And what does he want from a partner? -

2 of my cousins are visiting us from America, we are visiting another cousin in Edinburgh and staying in a hotel here, at breakfast they made waffles with berries and spray whipped cream, it looked like a mess, but she eat it. Not my thing. 🙁

Another good chapter but they way Taggert was acting in the showers makes me wonder if he has been assaulted by someone who saw Taggert looking at him?

Good luck with the exams, report cards and exams. I don’t think that teachers are appreciated enough these days.

One thing that I will say is that a week between chapters is a bit too long, as I forget what’s happened between chapters.

A good start to the story, Taggert is definitely gay and I think something has happened with him and another guy that ended badly.

We don’t have many Costco stores in the UK and there’s none near me, I have never been to one, but I think a place like that is my worst nightmare, I hate all big shops with loads of stuff everywhere, we have BM Bargains stores, I went into one near me and I walked out a few minutes later, too much stuff everywhere. Why would you want a fan around your neck? Does it really keep you cool? -
I am pleased to see that James and Evan have put things in place to safeguard Mum’s finances and the house, I still think that she should sell the house and buy a condo in a security building with a concierge so that she will feel safer living there away from Sam

Readers digest is very guilty of selling their mailing lists to companies that scam older people, my father got sucked in to buying also sorts of junk from various companies that he didn’t need, I think that those shopping channels are as bad as well, hurry and buy this item while stocks last, how many senior citizens have useless tat at home? -

I had my suspicions about Sam using his parents like his personal ATM, but it’s worse than I expected it to be, I think that Sam has been feeding lies to his father and has probably been the cause of the hatred of James, so that he could get away from fleecing his parents, obviously to feed his drug habit. I think that they should sell the house and get Margaret into an older person’s facility where there’s always someone around, mainly for her personal safety. -

Sam is an ass😡 I can understand James not feeling anything about his father’s death, the man has been cold and nasty to him for years, my father and I were not close he could be a bit abrupt and rude at times, he couldn’t understand why I am gay, he just thought that I hadn’t met the right woman, and that’s what I needed, but as he had several lady friends after his second marriage fell apart he was a good example of how to have a relationship with someone. I don’t really feel sad when he died and I don’t really miss him either. -
Let’s hope that you are right about Mrs Carter, will she change her attitude towards James now that her husband has gone?

I am pleased that James finally found the courage to stand up to Sam’s abuse, does Sam feel good when he is belittling others? Or is it just he can’t face up to his own shortcomings? He knows that his father is in hospital and should keep his phone on at all times and also fully charged so that he can be contacted in case of an emergency. As his phone has been turned off it shows how little he cares about his family.
