Oklahoma's Son

Wayne's stories are always interesting.  This one is exceptionally well crafted, with restrained pacing, sparse but telling descriptions and characters you can relate to and want to know better.  The setting is a cattle ranch in Oklahoma and that means hard work, sweat and long days.  That mother nature doesn't always cooperate is a given.  What is noteworthy, is that the characters are not bitter, and have warm hearts and can laugh in the small moments.  There are elements of severe abuse mentioned in the story and how they are processed and moved on from with the help of friendship is the heart of this story.   Read it and enjoy!

Cowboys. Tornados. Cowboys. Cattle. Cowboys. Intrigue. Cowboys. Trauma. Cowboys. Auctions.

Oh, did I mention there were cowboys?

Go.Read.

Wayne has spun us another amazing tale that just may have a few cowboys.

Oklahoma’s Son is a slow burn love story set in the ranch lands of Oklahoma. Taggert and Ash, the protagonists, are memorable characters whose characters develop in astonishing ways through the story.

Despite dealing with some very difficult topics, this is essentially a story of hope and love. An incredible read and heartily recommended.

A story full of love and laughter; but also overcoming severe abuse at the hands of a father.

How do you move forward from something that scars you in many ways, can you move forward; yes, with the help of new friends and an unexpected love.

Well written with exceptional characters, and I mean them all.  From the main group that the story focuses on, to more than a few only mentioned or met once or twice.  They are wholly realized and interesting and well written.

You will not regret spending a little time reading exceptional story of friendship, love, and recovery.

This is a love story at heart, but it is much more than that.

It is set on a cattle ranch in Oklohoma.

We have Ash living a fairly simple life on Nasser Ranch, but his life is turned upside down by the arrival of Taggert.

What follows is a story that mentions severe abuse, both mental and physical. But the story offers a future of love, hope and determination.

Give it a read you will not be disappointed.

A mysterious man arrives at the Nasser Ranch. He's a hard worker, a great rider, quiet and reserved - but no one knows where he came from or what he's running from. As the story slowly unfolds, so does the connection between Ash and Taggert. This is more than just a love story. It's about finding a home, loyalty, respect, and people who value you for who you are.

@Wayne Gray tells this cowboy romance in a warm and unique way, with characters you'll easily care about. One of my favorite Wayne stories so far.

Reading this new story from Wayne Gray you really understand what it means “love can cure”. Ash and Taggert will show you how take care of each other. Hard, sweet, strong, you’ll find a little part of your life inside these lines. I absolutely recommend!

A quiet loudness, and a loud quietness. This story isn’t loud in words but deafening in emotions that are quiet. It will make sense once you read it. Crafted like art (because it is), written like perfection (because it is) and caused me to be late for dinner. Thank you @Wayne Gray

A well written romance with a cowboy flare. I checked all the boxes in the Recommend Box, because it had all the elements of a great story.  I especially liked the ending that was soft, romantic and wrapped up all the small parts of the story in a celebration of friends.  I will definitely read this more that one time.
