    Too Close To Home

Interesting, Rudolph is definitely making sure that Kyle knows that he is still capable of wreaking mayhem and has control over him.

Blu and Kyle's children are far from stupid, they are trying to shelter them from the ugliness that follows Rudolph and Penelope, which in turn has made them lie to the kids. Link is one kid that will sit back, take everything in and then call you out on whatever the issue is.

I agree Kyle acts before he thinks, and in this chapter, it was fed by fear, fear for the kids and Blu's safety, fear of Rudolph, fear of losing his ability to protect the people he loves.

    Too Close To Home

The last two chapters have been a bit difficult to write with the guys fighting. When we reached the point of the argument where 'You stay, keep the house and kids, I only screw things up,' my heart broke. It truly hurt to make Kyle speak those words to Blu, in all honesty, we invest so much time into these characters they all become a part of you. The cake caper when we added the additional scenes, we both sat here laughing our asses off, so we are glad you enjoyed it. Now on to the darker matter, Rudolph, he is quite the twisted individual and only time will tell who has fed information and what will happen, god only knows. Let's hope Teddy and the Judge can figure out who is jeopardizing the family and put an end to it.
  5. Too Close To Home: Monday during a lull in his schedule, Kyle decided to return the Federal Prosecutors call. The call left more questions than answers, why would Rudolph have written a letter to him? The Prosecutor informed him that the letter should have been delivered at his residence today. Once he had hung up the phone he immediately called James to verify that a letter was delivered. Kyle sat quietly in his office feeling nervous, he hasn’t spoken to Rudolph or Penelope in over two
  6. Bump in the Road: It had been a few weeks since Kaleb and Davis’ wedding, Kyle had settled into being a music teacher and Principal although it often left him feeling stretched thin at work. Blu waltzed into the principal's office. Kyle didn’t look up from the paperwork he was reading, “Mabel if the kid isn’t hurting anybody send them back to class.” “Yes, Mr. Principal Gorgeous,” Blu tried to raise his voice higher. “You want me to come over there and give you a hand.” “Hmm… I t
  7. Glad Robbie and his siblings have finally become a real family. I'm also happy to see Alex is doing okay, I really hated him in the beginning but I've come to actually like him. Nathan definitely is jealous over Alex, it really makes you wonder what happened between Alex and him. Great chapter as always!
  8. Fears and Tears of Joy: Wednesday morning the tension was palpable in Kyle and Blu’s house. The boys were unusually quiet when they came downstairs, Lincoln spotted Blu sitting in his chair at the kitchen table staring off blankly. Lincoln squirmed his way onto Blu’s lap laying his head on his Dad’s chest, “I love you, Grammy is gonna be ok.” He mumbled softly. Cody studied his brother for a moment then crawled into Kyle’s lap, “I’m glad that I am a part of this family.” Levi ro
  9. Time for Remembrance and Celebration: Monday morning Kyle and Blu found themselves rushing around the house, trying to get the kids ready for school. Today Cody was coming home from the hospital. James had breakfast already made by the time everybody found their way downstairs. Lincoln wandered into the kitchen, “Hmm… What smells so good? Is that bacon?” James opened the oven pulling a platter holding bacon and blueberry waffles out. “Sit down, where are your Dads?” James placed

  11. Thanks for reading, we love hearing from each of you. Cody is going to be a fun addition, and I'm sure Levi is gonna become a big brother that Cody will love and adore.
  12. Let's hope Ratchet finds somebody else to bother or the boys give her their special treatment pizza.
  13. I agree, my family pulled me through when i faced cancer myself.
  14. I think Doug told Nan she just hasn't made her presence known, yet.
  15. The Protected Becomes the Protector: The week was a somber one, Blu barely held it together, Kyle let his husband have some time to himself when he got overwhelmed but kept a close eye on him giving comfort where he could. Kyle agreed with Blu, to let Lily and Doug break the news to the kids along with everybody else on Saturday. Lincoln was mad at his Dads and Liv because Cody didn’t come over for dinner on Tuesday and canceled again on Friday. Liv informed the guys that Cody was having a

Yes, characters are going to rise to the ocassion. As the story and characters age, things happen, some good, and unfortunately bad.

Ok so I'm gonna admit that both Joh and myself were a bit emotional writing this chapter. I wrote for different characters that I never have before, I was terrified I would make a mess of it. Joh laughed over me worrying I'd mess up her character, but I wanted the chapter to be perfect.

I forgot about Bill's story... I agree that part was absolutely devastating.
