I somehow doubt Rusty needs that kind of attention...

Well, I certainly like to think that the fact that Roy worried about Rusty being a young father proves something. And even if he might not present Rusty with some sort of aura to his family, he doesn't trash-talk him, either, for sure.

Yeah, you're right! Xpress is all for spicy! While it's irreverent, sassy, and sometimes downright silly, with touches of obnoxious, it's the lack of a real agenda that sets it apart from Connor's Implacables. Those guys are a different story. You can continue to keep that impression of Roy Parker. He won't be a sweet person ever, and he'll keep his opinions, and he won't be the type one could sympathize with, but one dimensional he won't be, either. And Matty was pretty much himself! The superhero Rusty doesn't know he needs in his life? Be whoever you want to be, lol!

Yes, you've seen it. That's Roy's way to watch over Rusty, even if from a distance. Even if he's not father of the years, he's not indifferent. Some people might say that's worse, but I'm not one to pass quick judgment, as I've seen indifference in my life. Connor, for now, seems on top of the game, and basks in the upward ascent of his organization. How that's going to play out, we'll see.

There's more than just Xpress now, and while the gossip rag might not have a bigger agenda besides 'let's spill everyone's secrets', Connor's team has other motivations.
  6. Laura S. Fox
In this case, Connor's team just went with the gossip launched by Xpress who sees cat girls instead of cat boys, and unplanned pregnancies all over the place. Yeah, the facade is bound to slip some more, as what happens between Rusty and Matty is a lot more than a tutor-untutorable relationship.

There's actual some kind of caring in that attack... don't get me wrong, not for one moment I think it's right for Rusty's dad to act like that, but it's his way of watching over his older kid. And I've seen it so many times in parents - not only dads - to be hard on their first born, only to be a lot more lenient with the younger ones, without batting an eye. A psychologist might have a good explanation for this type of behavior. Today, you'll know what Rusty will do, first and foremost

Chapter Twenty-Six – It’s Because Of You It appeared that it wasn’t the diner Rusty was interested in, but rather the dark forest rising behind it, which provided plenty of cover at that hour. Matty didn’t protest in the slightest as he was pushed with his back against a tree, and a hot mouth was on him, demanding and seductive at the same time. Rusty Parker could be many things, indeed. But what he was, without the shadow of a doubt, didn’t have anything to do with possibilities. Kin

    Totally true!
  10. Laura S. Fox
Yes, he needs to grow. And yes, outside forces are often needed for that to happen.
  11. Laura S. Fox
    Ouch!
  12. Laura S. Fox
Yes, you are correct. He told Maddox more, but not all. Some things you keep close to the heart, so to speak.
  13. Laura S. Fox
It wasn't only once, despite what Rusty told Matty.
  14. Laura S. Fox
In a way, if I think about it... he does have a plan C... but not for cat boy lol!
  15. Laura S. Fox
    We'll see about that.
  16. Laura S. Fox
He's already a superhero And he has just the right alternative, as you'll see in today's episode!
  17. Laura S. Fox
    He has a plan B.
  18. Laura S. Fox
Yeap... there are lines you just don't cross with Rusty... like messing with his cat boy!
  19. Laura S. Fox
He's a resourceful guy, I vouch for that!
  20. Laura S. Fox
    I agree wholeheartedly!

Rusty went through some complex emotions upon seeing August. His memories of her are bitter-sweet, and while he was, to some degree happy to see her, he also didn't know how to react.
  22. Laura S. Fox
Yes, first love describes it well
  23. Laura S. Fox
Which is the topic of today's episode!

Excellent points. Rusty brushed it off in front of Matty but told Maddox more - even if not the entire truth. At this point, it might only sound like bravado - 'I did that' - but it was more than that. What happened between the two of them is something only Rusty can reminiscence about - at the right time, as you well know by now.
  25. Laura S. Fox
What if he doesn't have one?
