  1. Thank you! I know I have a penchant for drama, and that might not be up everyone's alley... However, there is more drama to be had, just saying!
  2. Chapter Thirty-One – Green-eyed Monster He didn’t expect the unpleasant feeling in his gut to go away as the days passed by, bringing him closer to the day when he was supposed to call his parents and announce that he would pay them a visit on Thanksgiving. That was no shock, really. The most appropriate course of action was to do it and be done with it. Still, something was keeping him from taking that step, and he kept postponing the call even after he purchased his plane ticket. How
  3. Not going to deny that... but it might take a bit to happen!
  4. This comment deserves more likes.
  5. Well, at least once in a while, I manage to make readers happy!
  6. Well... I'm not going to give an answer, as I'm supposed to conceal my sleight of hand to the best of my abilities until the very end... However, I am more than happy to read about all the speculations you guys come up with!
  7. Chapter Thirty – What You Don’t Know Makes You More Curious Ray grinned all-knowingly and wiggled his eyebrows while Jonathan tried to focus on his textbooks. One could only do so much to ignore a curious roommate slash self-proclaimed BFF. Not that he had any qualms about that, and Ray was the first and only BFF he had ever had. On top of it all, he was very grateful to have a friend like that. Nonetheless, the unspoken questions that floated in the air made it a less than ideal environmen
  8. Thank you, Gary, for all the praises!
  9. Ah, so cute...
  10. I don't think that was corny at all, and yes, that was another way to point out at their differences, but also at their willingness to cross that distance and find middle-ground. I was really thinking of how to portray how Jonathan came to learn how to cook, and this idea came to mind. Glad it was appreciated!
  11. Hmm... as you know, I won't comment on that last bit. I like to read readers' reactions to various cues and other things I drop along. I also like to believe that I abide by Chekhov's pistol rule... if it appears in act one, it's going to get fired by the third...
  12. They're in a stage of their relationship where they're still testing the waters... Of course, a lot of more knowing each other is needed for further explorations, but let's not forget that they live in the real world... and real world has a tendency to butt in and upset the course...
  13. I thought so, too. Not much was revealed about the time Jonathan spent between running away from home and his coming to Sunny Hill, so I thought of shading some light!
  14. Good thing Jonathan is not as much at a loss as him!
  15. Finally talking, yes. But there are still plenty of chapters... so, be warned!
  16. Thank you.
  17. Thank you, Wes!
  18. It's a love story, after all, and HEA is my middle name So, rest assured, as much as I put everyone through a rollercoaster of emotions, at the end, everything ends well.
  19. As I said earlier, I somehow manage to make readers anticipate drama, even when a chapter is all calm and about nice things...
  20. Mad Dawg shouldn't be so concerned about Drew. After all, he's Jonathan's boyfriend, not Drew.
  21. It's good to have one of those once in a while, right?
  22. Ah, I'm starting to think that I'm succeeding in making readers anxious even when nothing dramatic happens in a chapter... That must be a perk of mine.
  23. Well, if Maddox ever sits beside Drew... well, sparks will fly and not in a good way!
  24. They're getting more and more 'real' with one another. As for Jonathan's family, yes, I think you can say that.
  25. Chapter Twenty-Nine – The Perfect Date Maddox stared at Jonathan for a moment, questioning him with his eyes, after parking the car behind an old building, square in shape and pretty much nondescript. Jonathan smiled and kissed him briefly on the cheek. “While I was getting acquainted with the area, I’ve got to know some people,” he explained. Someone came out of the building and threw some bags into the dumpsters lining the wall. Jonathan opened the door and called to the woman who i
