Chapter Fifty-One – Truth over Comfort Inside the beach cottage he shared with Alexander he was allowed to feel happy. But outside of it, the weight of his moral dilemma continued to press down on him. Something told Lyn, a little bird in his ear, that if he insisted hard enough, Alexander would help him, one way or another. But he didn’t want that help. It would feel like cheating. Would Brad hate him if Lyn told on him? Without a doubt. That wasn’t even a question to consider. W

He is so all that... yet Jack can't help drooling, lol. But his backstory... well, I won't say anything just yet.

That's the spirit, yes!

Vince and Jack need to be pretty convincing!

Totally legit reaction!

Chapter Fifteen – The Alpha Who Smelled Too Good “Seriously,” Jack mumbled under his breath, “just leave the hard work to the small guy.” After his little tantrum from earlier when he had almost caught Theodore and Vince in the act trying to have fun without him – probably – the tough CEO-slash-alpha had warned him that the nights were chilly and if he didn’t move his ass to carry enough firewood inside, Jack would be on his own when it came to getting warm at night. Two log chunks. Th

Alexander truly grasps at any straws here... he needs so much reassurance, I want to hug him (even though I'm the one writing Lyn being so cruel without intention). Ah, I can so barely wait for your reactions when Alexander will start spilling all the beans... as for Lyn's reactions to it all... well, he's not the easiest character to write on one side, and understand on the other. But I trust you, guys, since you keep blowing me away with such in-depth observations. Yes, Lyn is choosing Alexander! But there will be some drama - I can't help it, it must be in my DNA.

Alexander doesn't cut him any slack as far as these negotiations go. Lyn doesn't name his feelings yet, but he will, once it becomes inevitable Intense will... cover it just fine

Same back at you! And yes, he is

Oh, wow, Maestro, what a beautiful line you left there at the end... Alexander and Lyn are coming together only now, and that's the truth. The obstacles from the past are only now removed - or in the course of being removed. This was a chapter dedicated to negotiations. Alexander knows Lyn, which is why he insists on details, as much as they can talk about such things now. They are getting closer to an alignment, for sure. Years gone by, wasted years, you name it, but even Alexander knows things weren't possible back then. His motivations are also complex - or maybe simple when observed from a certain angle. He will speak up, and he will let Lyn in on his secrets, but, you know me, not a moment too soon!

That says it all!

Complications are on the horizon... But I will take readers through, I promise!

I don't know... I must have gotten lost in translation here... I mean, if Lyn said it as a question... is this the wrong way to say it? Lol, this unintended mistakes can be so funny. The opera - soap or not - will continue!
-
In the end, there will be a happy end But Lyn needs even more than this to realize the whole truth... and he'll get it. Alexander will speak a bit about his marriage. Thanks for the vote of confidence!

Chapter Fifty – [Memory, Senior Year, November] – Death by a Thousand Cuts Brad had been easy, as far as gift-picking went. And it had given Lyn the perfect opportunity to offer the Fosters a token of his gratitude. He smiled as he pictured the look of surprise on Mrs. Foster’s kind face when he handed them the cruise tickets. Brad didn’t take much after her, as far as facial features went, since he was the spitting image of his father, but there was definitely something in his mannerisms t- 16 comments

Hmm, very interesting analysis... And I think it was a good opportunity for me to show that two people can share certain traits yet be radically different. And yes, it is the array of qualities the father catches like in a snapshot when he interviews Lyn, qualities he has, too, but they are used differently, and that's what makes Lyn different than his biological parent. Lyn's the better one in my opinion... the man sees that his son has a spine, and a pretty good one, but that will never turn into heartless confidence like in his case. Recognition without mercy... that sounds right on the money. And that's why I use the word 'heartless'. Lyn passed the test, nonetheless. I won't say a word about the rest. I want to let the story surprise you
